I understand WHAT you're saying completely.
You're concerned that we have an over-inflated amount of housing because people are able to freely create 3 accounts, freely able to make money, and freely able to dump 15 houses down at their leisure. You're worried that this hurts everyone else. Guess what? It doesn't.
Everyone has the same options. Everyone can make 3 accounts worth of characters, have 3 accounts worth of housing, and generally have 3 accounts worth of storage/space.
NO ONE is being left out/manipulated/taken advantage of. The only people at an apparent disadvantage are those that didn't start up from day one. Guess what? It was the same in retail!

wow you do understand. *applauds* why give me so much bs and make it sound like you don't know wtf I'm saying and causing me to repeat myself time and time again. I never said it wasn't a level playing field, I said there is no curb to keep people from creating accounts freely (other than 3 acct limit). point being... that is not exactly how it was on OSI. So now we are on the same page... thank you sir.

Are you intentionally being obtuse, or do you have a reading comprehension problem?
You said it yourself right there: Everyone can make three accounts worth of characters. No one is questioning the levelness of the playing field. What is being stated is that while it was certainly possible to have three accounts in era, it certainly was NOT possible to have three accounts for free.
Each account would incur an additional cost and this cost was a natural curb to people having 3 accounts full of houses. Not that it wasn't possible or that it didn't happen -- but in our current environment EVERYONE has 3 accounts. People simply weren't paying 30 bucks a month for UO when you could probably only play one account at a time anyway, and you were also probably getting your parents credit card to pay for it.
On a housing related side note, want to sell your keep in the northern brit mountain pass?

Depends how much you want to pay.
And what I'm saying is yea...everyone was on a level playing field back then as they are now.
It doesn't matter if the accounts are free, EVERYONE is allowed to have 3 of them for FREE. Sure, you're going to have more houses per person than you did back then, but we also have wayyyy less people than we did back then. Creating a housing market isn't a bad thing. This only helps the server....

Well im a newer player here. Id say ive been here around 3 weeks. I just placed a tower this morning. It was tough, I had trouble findind any mainland spots but I did find a spot on ice island. I doubt I would be able to place anything bigger but I really dont need anything bigger. Im content with a tower. Tower spots may be very limited but if you look hard enough you may find another. There is still plenty of real estate for small houses, so I dont see anybody not being able to place a house period a problem anytime soon. Plus there are larger houses that fall...opening new real estate possibilities. Bottom line is if you stay looking hard enough im sure you will find a spot big enough for 2 story, tower etc.

Do you people play non-stop when you first come to the shard? I don't get it people play less than a month are popping up keeps and towers like nothing. I've been here pushing 3 months now and I can just barely scrape up 300k.

Poogoblin, mongbats are a good start but you eventually need to move on to bigger and better hunts.

No, you don't.
Sadly large blocks of time must be invested for the large pieces of housing. It's worth it I suppose, if you use them.

It's at a point to where you need to put some effort into getting the house you desire. There are always houses decaying all the time and if you watch for them you can easily get what you want placed in time. And there are always people selling real estate to make some profit.
Just gotta keep an eye out and you'll have what you want soon enough.
