I thought he had an offer of 6 mil (after he "sold" it) - where did that go?

I'm sided with Bee 100% on this buyout purchase. That's me prefacing the following comment.

Not everything is worth more in time. There is absolutely no guarantee that the same event will happen next year and yield EVEN MORE furniture dye tubs. A dozen more of these out there would yield a significant drop in their value. So potentially, this could be the most they will ever be worth given that there are so few (right now) and market demand is fresh. Of course they could also be worth alot more depending on what the future holds. But its not a guarantee.

I agree- sorry my comments was based off him thinking the tubs will not be given out again.

The only thing that prevented me from purchasing this was the fact that there is a public tub and multiple tubs out there. It doesn't make any sense to own a tub, at this price, when it is very easy to dye your furniture for free. The only way it makes sense is if the public tub goes away and then it will still take a long time before owning a tub is worth anything as there are thousands of dyed furniture pieces out in the world now.

I myself have dyed a few hundred pieces of furniture in case all the tubs get horded. Then you have furniture and colors to trade across the shard, making any private tub pretty worthless unless needing to dye something like a sandstone piece.

p.s. He PMed me this morning asking if I wanted to trade my castle for this tub...See above for my response Usual...

The only reason I want one is because I have a crap ton of full kegs I want to dye and it would take too long to bring them n dye them continuously. I think I have 125 kegs

Menk,

I had 125 kegs I dyed in about 10 minutes taking them in as much as I could carry. What took me the most time was deciding on the shade of color to use..

On a side note,
I did an IDOC run this am, AMAZING how many houses have dyed furniture in them now.. I don't think tubs are worth what he's asking.. like Rob said, as long as the public tubs remain open who needs a personal tub? I have dyed probably 800 pieces of furniture to stave off any future need of one.. I MIGHT pay 2 mil for one.. or my placed keep.. but that's it.. and only then for "collecting" one.. Who is to say next year they may do runebook dye tubs? :)

I laugh at the dye tub prices as well. I know of 17 of them. I have never seen a 1/17 non-paperdoll item anywhere near this prices, utilities included.

Why pay when there are plenty of these open to the public? These tubs are not worth 500k....

Probably - but if he reneged on a buyout, do you think he's gonna honor a s/b? Just sayin'
