False Statement.

Decrypt the client by hand, make it available for download ,and ban Razor/3rd party users. At least that is what i'm getting out of everyone's opinions.
I actually would be extremely interested in how many people that have expressed their concerns here, become extremely in-convenienced by this, and 3 - 6 months later post opinions in contradiction, wanting 3rd party back. Not saying it would happen. Mostly because the people posting here expressing the cons, most likely have several 7xGM characters, huge guilds, or part of one, and plenty of gold and resources. Meaning? Meaning they suddenly have an enormous advantage over the new and mid level players. I'd like to meet a player who 7xGM their character through 100% attended NON-MACROing... My experience in life, 75% of people are hypocritical, and 50% of them don't realize they are.
Besides, I wonder how many players would look at the shard's website, see that they can't use any 3rd party programs, and just skip it, continuing down the list.

third party programs make uo easier, in the olden days they gave certain players advantages over others, but now everyone has them
before they had the purpose of advantage over your fellow player but now theres no point to them they only make the game less fun
but everyone has gotten dependant on them over time, and now if they were removed it would probably invoke mass suicide of the player base
no it wouldnt people would most likely realize third party programs are unnecessary and just play uo the way it is
but honestly i dont really care either way ill play its not that big of a diffrence
i wish no one could macro then there would be variation

I agree with you on every point. Like you said about giving the advantage over an average player, that is my only point now. Take them away after half the player base has used them to advance their characters, would slow the advancement of new characters giving an unfair advantage in my eyes. Now, something completely outrageous, like a reset then outlaw the programs would halfway work.
I also played from 97-2000 without any assisted programs, including UOAssist (I refused to pay for it). With that said, I remember having a much more enjoyable experience back then. So yes, they do take away from the game experience. I also have to mention, that it adds gaming experience for the vets/adults, I say this because of the age old conundrum of the adult gamers with jobs versus the teenage -/+ players with no responsibilities or time consuming chores.

Sorry if this seems stupid, but I never even knew razor had a light level feature. I have been casting in lor the entire time - dammit!
I never really used 3rd party programs back in the day other than to gain skill using the 8x8 technique with a boat later on. I remember being chased by PK's and having to hit my disarm macro and try to chug a pot when I was low and then re-arm. Was not nearly as easy then as it is today with razor.
With that said, I don;t feel these programs should be taken away unless everyone was to start over the same exact level which is ludicrous and the shard would implode just like IPY did after they had to do an entire re-roll.

I don't really understand why people say "well this makes it unfair for new people" for this situation. There were many issues quite like this where it was unfair for people. A great example are people who could gain magery and resist in town with absolutely no damage. There are the people that could easily macro stats without atrophing the skills. The people that could macro combat skills on other players without a penalty. The list can go on and on. If razor was terminated in particular areas this would be no different than all the other previous fixes for accuracy.
There are plenty of programs that can assist you in macroing that were used back in the old days. Ez Macros and UO Loop are two that come to mind. The features that Razor use are many of the features that never existed or was possible to use back in the t2a era. For example, you can setup macros that literally PVP's for you in Razor. It doesn't matter if it's a perfect auto bandage with a cure before hand, to perfect insta hit refreshes, and syncs. If you literally understand it you can run several macros in particular situations when need be if you know how to do it. It really ruins the game in many aspects. It is simply a modern day EUO with the older assist programs combined. A good word to describe it "script pvp" aka "legalized hacking".

i agree faust new people can just suck it up and stop being pussy, im a new player and i dont mind that older players have more things than me thats just the way the game works, i really think that if they made things more difficult than people wouldnt complain because 400 people got it in easy
people leave when they lose something, not when something becomes more difficult to get.
one thing i do hate though is for instance on uog hybrid how some newb faggot can just donate to the shard and get a million gold and a skill ball and shit thats just gay, of course to make 10 dollars in real life would take like 30 minutes but to make a mil in game would take like 2 weeks
but thats just not part of the game
also everyone has this beleif that you need to be a 7x instahit hally god to have fun at uo, but i think i had a better time fire ball pking people at brit gy and just about shitting my pants when i could gate travel more so then running around with 4 accounts worth of 7xes of all templates
it just lessens the game
of course i still macro my characters on this shard because everyone else does it its no fun being the only guy whos not 7x gm lol
when in rome lol
im cool with macroing but yeah all that other auto script shit sounds gay

Auto open doors is a complete failure for me. I have it enabled, and I have a open door macro.
Re light levels, if it can be done server side, do it!
