I would say it's era accurate to be here because, even though we didn't know about it, it was passively being used all the time.

Main problem with this, as stated by Rammar in the other thread, is not the killing of AFK macroers as much as a mechanic that allows people to effectively kill you in your house even if you are attending (MS/purple pot turrets anyone?). This effectively debunks the whole "AFK was illegal in era!" argument.

The LOS exploit takes time/precision in defining the ground tile below the person inside the house making any other point besides afk killing rather moot. Furthermore, if you are alive and start getting targeted it's extremely easy to recover your HP by healing or insta logging out of the property altogether if you are unable to heal.

Archer tourreting also requires time/precision to pull off, and has been used ad nauseum here. And please, tell me how you can heal through 4-5 meteor swarms (which do the same damage as a flame strike when hitting a single target and goes straight through magic reflect) targetted on any tile within 3 of the one you're standing on hitting you simultaneously.

Era accurate or not, why not just make this a bannable offense if someone is caught using it? It most certainly would have been bannable if ever discovered on OSI. I'd like a comment on this from Derrick or some other staff.

Please read and re-read what Pirul wrote. Besides, why should you have to recover your HP like this when you are standing safely within your own house and aren't AFK? Why should I have to deal with such nonsense inside my house?

Talking to Faust is like speaking to a brick wall. I don't know why you guys waste the time.

Why should you have to deal with a player killing you in a house even next to the walls? Why should you have to deal with a player killing you in the first place and disable pking completely? Why not just make it to where you can't fight another player altogether?

Slippery slopes, leads to a dead end son.

Stupid analogy.

My gosh.

Not wanting a LOS exploit in game does not = remove Pvp altogether.

People need to stop pretending this is a shard for people, not code. Once you get over that, it's all smooth auto-mining from there.

Agreed. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this prior to the debate at hand. Not leaving or anything, because this doesn't/won't affect me really, but it is quite disappointing to learn.

Pro tip right there. Quitting is always a good defense. Good thing /that/ doesn't break the game.

you do understand how relative target works right? razor takes all the precision out of it.

ctrl + shift, drag their bar from inside the house, retarget the relative target line in your macro to their bar. you have now defined the ground tile they are standing on. that took how long?
