Have met Zelek and Soma IRL and had a great time. It's surprising meeting the people behind the characters.
I met someone in my high school from UO and we were best mates for the best part of 8 years.

I can't imagine a professor wanting to hang out with obvious drug addicts. You just hoping to rehabilitate them or something?
The only normal ones on your list is ian, DR, and derrick ( not enough info on derrick, could be king addict!)
