That is how most era accurate change discussions go. People tend to want things changed that affect them and resist changes that don't. This is one reason I like UOSA over other shards. AI was great...but it got to a point where instead of fighting the orcs in game, people would just throw out game mechanic changes that would benefit them and hurt us, then push to have them approved. It got tiring. At least here, there is a base line to all changes.

But I don't think its necessarily wrong to push for something that benefits you. It just depends. I have and continue to push for a fix to dexxing. In fact, last I saw, we came up with some era references that said attacking on the run worked. I believe its on hold until derrick looks at it further. But I certainly wouldn't of invested that much time in it if it didn't affect me.

As for pixels and rares...I think someone once attributed it to the stock market. They can be worth big money but in the matter of hours or one stealth patch they can go from millions to zero. That is the risk of playing with grandfathered items, rares, etc.

All I know is events are inaccurate, silver isn't accurate, and the grandfathered items acquired from silver aren't accurate. But...the concept of grandfathered throws a wrench in it all. There are grandfathered houses that are no longer placeable or perhaps have boxes that can no longer be placed. Its all a matter of how much things should be reverted.

the player vendors with white staff's and custom clothing,
is a glaring offense at the boast of era accuracy imho.
but alas, i posted about it before and the staff basically said,
we aren't changing it, the vet players might cry.

ultimately i don't really give a shit who's rich or not,
especially in ultima online. the money is worth nothing.

but you either make the damn shard era accurate or not.
and quit saying how it's the 'second age' if it's somewhere in between.

it feels very pick and choose here.
i'd guess osi would just remove the items if they bugged something.
and give them an alternative, to settle everyones complaints.



there's really no point complaining about era accuracy unless you're

everytime i sold or traded a mask it was to get a other gf hued mask. i never made really gold with that. my last hued mask was traded to guerr for a other hued "same kind" of mask. i sold my grandfatered green featered tribal as example for 350silver to doc, when it cost me 700silver just to buy a new one in a dif colour. what a ironie that almost only cA is bitching in here. you ppl r so odd, all you want is to see someone down who earned his , everyone knows. stop beeing . derrick made his opinion very clear, why he made those items GF and you guys should stop bitching like little childs. ppl who earned there masks hard while u just banksittet to steal items from other ppl or houselooted complety nubs is more the fact that you bitch now here about us.

I know people would never go for it but this is why ive always thought the shard should get to a certain point of accuracy and then be wiped/restarted.

The pros would be that everything would be era accurate and all of the 'bugs' that were used over the years to amass wealth or inaccurate items would be gone. You could make radical changes to the number of allowed accounts, etc. And you would attract a lot of players from other shards who don't play here because they want a new shard where they can actually get/place a house and be equal.

The obvious con is everyone loses their precious pixels which makes a lot of hoarders quit. The bigger con is people lose their favorite housing spots. Though in the case of highly active vendor/shops like the one in yew, id totally reserve the spot for them so they can pick back up.

dude i ran so many player run events with dif guilds and spend well over 10mil on nubs. everytime i take a break i give mils and free housings away (placed keeps etc)
