Agreed with everyone else who said there's no such thing as a secure castle. Especially if it was just recently placed, where there had previously been several house owners or IDOCs. I've known people to purposely keep a set of runes from old IDOCs or houses they've sold to neighbors, for the sole chance of having one be in the CY.
Nightshark, <3 you buddy, but paying that much more for a supposedly "secure" CY is just not a good idea. And Kain (and any other real estate types), its just bad business to advertise 100% secure CYs, because you can't ever be 100% sure it's secure...whether you placed it or not.

I think I sold the last secure castle that will ever be sold on this shard. The remaining ones are owned by people who have a lot more patience than me for logging in a couple times a week to keep them refreshed.

On a different note...couldn't you fill your entire courtyard with animals and make it secure? Lol.

hard to say 'secure' with anything that's fallen once... that and anyone that idocs frequently will probably have quite a few cy runes by way of loot or just marking while running the map.
ive placed castles recently that i have absolutely no delusions of being secure and i have cy runes known and unkown to me as i save everything

If Kain said the place was secure, then I believe the he thought it to be secure, but people also make mistakes. Also, who is to say that someone didn't have a rune to an IDOC or something like many others have said here?
