I strongly agree with what Tagarr is saying but at the same time I really don't want to see those events go because it would mean a good chance of more PKs out there in the field since they'd need to find their PVP fix somewhere else.
But there will also be more anti pks in dungeons looking for those reds, it gets balanced out.

I doubt that.
Intelligent red groups move far too quickly for any "anti-pk" group to even get there in time, let alone kill somebody.

part of the huge problem with auto events is the reward with total lack of any risk, this is not t2a experience at all. way to many of shard pop logs in and out for just auto events and do nothing else and get rewarded for it. Events should Be More staff / player run / less frequency on auto events and for 'fun' or something to forward to for a alternative to normal game play as of right now its more like people are playing for just events and don't play t2a uo at all. This has also caused various templates of mine to sit and idle doing nothing because they are no players to interact with out in prime locations in felluca.

That's like saying that there are no players sitting at the north blacksmith in Britain, waiting to take orders from other players because of events.
No, there aren't any dedicated mule players here, sitting around to take orders, because this is 2011 and everyone and their grandmother has their own 7x mule, that's just how it is. Everyone is allowed 3 accounts, and most players who know how to play the game & macro have all the characters they need, by themselves.
The game has changed over 11 years and everyone just needs to accept that.

i am not talking about mules, i am talking about the total lack of players in dungeons/out in the woods/active people at prime time or during events and after events its just a joke. you can watch the ips online just drop and you can see the all the people idle / disconnect in the event rooms.

The best thing to do as an anti pk from my experience is to hide by bards or stand by spawns hidden. Just takes patience but when the prey arrives it gets exciting.
Killed Cunning Stranger the other day 2v1(possible when not lagging), I think he's in statloss:

People only play for events, thus we should remove events to increase the player base?

Panthor, if certain people are playing primarily to take part in events; they are hardly contributing to the portion of the game we're actually trying to build.
They don't take part in regular "UO society". (as lame as that term sounds).
They don't spend their time hunting, (or rarely do)
They don't spend their time TMapping (or rarely do)
They don't spend their time PvPing (or rarely do)
etc etc.
Thus they might as well not be there.
Have them quit and make some housing space for people who actually want to take part in recreating the era...
I doubt that.

That's untrue.
Coordinated anti groups understand how good PK groups work. They will camp or ghost a specific location, their drop house, or find them on their "rounds" and engage them.
It happens all the time.
Bad anti-pk's maybe...
The game has changed over 11 years and everyone just needs to accept that.
There's a difference between game content; (hardcoded programming) and variables.. such as player types, lag, # of clients per user, character types... (external uncontrollable variables)
We're on a 100% different level of understanding here;
Hardcoded, programmed game content does not change. (Unless patched)
It can be reproduced to perfection.
Events are a completely custom programmed part of the game that did not exist; they have been added via programming (with custom maps and custom rulesets) the exact same way that Trammel and other UO worlds were created.
Most of you guys are talking about variables that will ALWAYS change; that's a given. Programmed game content is NOT an external uncontrollable variable.

Tagar is the best on the shard. His ideas and notions of what T2A was, and how it is now, are totally correct. His playing style, as well as TGs playing style, is the ONLY way to play UO, and thus should be adopted by the rest of the shard. All of the people who just play events should quit, because they aren't even playing real T2A.

You are obviously a failure at creating viable arguments.
If you think this post is about play style, or content PREFERENCE; you are 100% incorrect, and obviously have no idea how to grasp and understand properly formed arguments, so instead you just troll...
Well played.

It's a funny and it's the truth. Cr3w is terrible on the field where it matters and yet they try to talk down to real Feluccans like MHK, TG ect. ect.
Pffft

Sorry Psilo, try and keep this kind of banter out of this post.
I'd like to keep it clean where possible.

I completely disagree with to OP. I think there should be more events. In fact I have given up waiting around for the couple of random CTF games that fit into my play time schedule. Also please remember the rewards for the events do not impact game play at all and give no advantages to players. As far as I am concerned, silver could be done away with and events could happen on a fixed, daily schedule.
I hope that people play here for fun and not to gain a feeling of accomplishment that they should be getting from the real world. While I do enjoy being out in the larger UO world, I do not feel a need to farm, collect useless pixels, or rid Brittania of the bad guys, ect. ect. My point is that events are fun. This game is old and most players have done everything that can be done 5 times already. Given this I can not understand why anyone would play with anything but a casual mindset. Events are convenient which maximizes fun for some players. I would rather spend a half hour pvping the whole time then 6 minutes fighting someone in a dungeon and the rest of that half hour preparing.
Capture the Capital is a great world pvp event. Rose will let others organize it. The GMs here are awesome about supporting player events such as dungeon crawls. No one has any real reason to complain about support of player events here at Second Age.
Finally, I would like to encourage people to add to the shard rather than subtract. Please bring ideas of things you would like to do, rather than say all the things that you do not like. This shard, and UO in general, provides a lot of opportunity for the players to forge the game play and world environment. Saying that the game would be better by removing aspects that a lot of people like is not constructive. If you think that events destroy the community OP you should really get off your high horse and join one. You will see and interact with more players than you probably do in an entire month. You will be team mates with former enemies. Enemies with former friends. It is fun, which I believe is the goal for playing a game.
Thanks,
Foe
