Faust or someone who looks at the code could pretty easily give us an exact number, I'd think. I also don't really give a shit... I'm just sick of hearing people bitch about randomization when they fail a few times in a row, miss their hally hit a few times in a row, etc.
And that's what I was waiting for.

If anyone else wants to openly contest my claim and back up their statement, I'm game. Otherwise, I hope staff will look into it as I'm really not making this up. I'd even be willing to test it out with staff to prove my point.

You don't need the staff or people to help you test. Start up an rpv or whatever the movies are called and begin casting. Then post your results. Of course, when you realize its roughly 50% you will just not post ^_^

Haha  nice one.
I've endured far worse things than making a public retraction on an Ultima forum.... but would it be possible to record that long a movie? I mean, all the fizzling will help it along but it will still take some time. <--serious question, I'll do this

You sure have a sense of entitlement. I don't think you get to whine about failing a spell a few times in a row, and have a staff member jump up to figure out why you're displeased. To paraphrase JFK, "Ask not what staff can do for you. Ask what you can do for the staff."

For like 2000 gold, you could probably make 200+ casts and record the success/failure rate. I can make that in like 15 minutes with my 2xGM character. I'll even stat-test the numbers for you, if you don't understand how that stuff works. But please don't ask people who already donate their time to you to thoroughly look into and test something that you're not willing to thoroughly look into yourself.

Mikel123, before you make any suggestions about how to address issues, I have a strong suggestion of my own for you. When you feel like publicly calling someone dead wrong and pretending to back it up with the words "I bet", don't pretend. Mean it. Otherwise, you're just another punk with a loud mouth.

I apologize if English is not your primary language... but typically, people say "I bet" as shorthand for "it is my belief or inclination that...". They do not mean "I would like to wager more than my life savings on this inconsequential issue".

You could have farmed 10k in gold and made 1,000 casts in the time it's taken you to complain and whine on this thread. So how about this: I bet you 1,000 gp, which I do have. Now go test it, or stfu.

Yeah, I understand a lot of things.... everything you wrote from the word "but"-on is a fine definition of "punk", like I said. You're half-right. People do commonly love to mouth off like big boys when they aren't. Sorry if I didn't want to let your bravado pass for real heart.

This is actually one more response than you rate, and since this is online I know you'll never shut up, so you can have the next and last word for all it's worth.
