You can't really argue "peolpe get bored" or "content" because the leading mmorpg out there (WoW) constantly adds content, new materials, and people STILL get bored.

Doing treasure maps is a fun "mini event" as I call it. Sure you can do most solo, but it's fun to take friends or new players.

I say we just leave it like it is and just enjoy doing them.

Well someone besides me must think they should be harder, because the voting is pretty lopsided.

Ancient wyrms are out of the question clearly, but I think adding dragons to level 4's, and balrons and blood eles to level 5's isn't that much too ask.

I think lvl 5s were meant to be done as a group.

But yes, I'd like to see more/harder things. I think too many Dread Spiders spawn on lvl4s though.

This is kind of my opinion too. For a resourceful player, which is just about everyone on this shard, harder creatures just means better loot from the hunt, with not much additional risk. I think to add true dificulty, it would take more than harder creatures. Just a thought though, I'm hoping a clear shard consensus can decide this.

I'm staying out of this one. I never did any lvl 5s or had a bard. Me know nothing. But I would suggest sticking to what stratics says spawns and derrick your memory of it.

I think you can argue it. If that were not the case, MMOs would never bother with releasing expansions. Newer and harder content updates help a great bit with player retention. Had WoW never released content packs and BC, millions more would have jumped ship by now.

This shard is kind of at a weird disadvantage here as it is meant to replicate how UO was during a certain timeframe. Can't really add newer and harder content without destroying that goal.

UO PvE isn't hard in the least though. Provocation is far too powerful during this era, as are summon spells such as Blade Spirits and Energy Vortex.

i said yes.

just thinking about it:

level 5 spawn > level 4 spawn

it might not be 'era correct' but i think it is a good assumption. what is the jump in monster 'badness' from level 2 -> level 3? and from level 3 -> level 4? the jump in difficultly should be equal at each step (if level 3 is 20% harder than level 2, then level 4 should be 20% hard than 3, and level 5 should be 20% harder than level 4)

i could be way off, i know, but i'm just saying there should be a definative increase in the difficultly of the spawn

eggzactly, and as it is now there just isn't enough jump in difficulty/challenge between 3-4-5.

I feel Derrick fixed this problem with his latest quest.. Requiring groups for a solo prize..
Great quest imho, puts TMAPS and MiB's to shame.. although they aren't exactly "comparable" ;p

You can solo Nujelm GY quest. It will take you a LONG time and A LOT of regs, but you could do it.
