It would be interesting to have a guild that all turn ghost...who's leader is a mad woman that is GM'ed in spirit speak. It would primarily consist of alterantive characters I would imagine but it would add some flavour to the game and ghosting in general.

Ghosting discussions died out?

Pretty lame how the shitty "were so good" pks have ghosts in every single farming spot, literally.

Two major downfalls of this shard that it refuses address: "unattended" resource gathering and ghosting. Whenever I stop playing here, those will be the reasons why, can only take it for so long.

Here is my ettiquette on ghosting and irc etc.

Ghosting is fine as long as you are being active with it running around etc. maybe use it for spying only, like following people around jumping through gates not as a hidden cam waiting to jump people hunting. I know alot of people are waiting out their murder counts but its obvious what you are doing if its in a spawn area.

One time when I was new I was attacked and called out on irc for help. After I did that I was ashamed of myself...
I dont think using IRC should be used as a place to rally people against others imo. That's what guilds are for, thats what the party system is for. It shouldnt be used for tattletalers and people who cant handle situations on their own. That's my opinion and my moral grounds on the matter. If you need help in PVP or if you are a PKer and want to team up... find it in game or in the very least send out PM's rather then in open chat.

I know using irc to rally is still going to happen, but not doing so myself is game ettiquette for me. Its a law I made for myself.
I am not going to blurt out "Reds are in So-n-So level two" or "Outside Vesper"

If you want to fight, go ahead draw attention to yourself and your location to have a legit battle without fear of counts. Using irc in that fashion is voluntary and its not lynching anybody unwillingly or unfairly outside of game mechanics.

i'm done playing for a while, a week...or a year who knows, quote me on this one. too many factors involved, mainly points that have been problem since the beginning but the shard can't/won't address.

They already made a big leap in the dirrection of eliminating ghosting. I dont know if you realize it, but ghosts here cannot see the healthbars of the living, a feature which is NOT era accurate to begin with but certainly serves to prevent ghosting. It's apparent that the shards staff is more than willing to address issues that were not as problematic during the actual T2A age, and only became so with the advent of features such as razor, and everyones right to 3 accounts. I think that if there were a "reasonable" discussion on the matter, and not a thread filled with trash talk and complaining, perhaps there could be some resolve.

I've been here over a year, ghosting and majority of the problems on this shard are directly related to 3 accounts. A year ago I was told that this was irreversible and wouldn't be fair to the 80 online at peak hours. We now peak 7x this, there really is no point in bringing it up.

Not slamming the shard, just these problems will continue to exist solely because of that, and razor as well. But it's not like inaccuracy changes haven't been made in the past to please players: Anyone else noticed fake delays on tabbing implemented? What about the action delay being close to half what it should be?

It probably isn't Era Accurate, but ghosting would be eliminated if you made it where ghosts can only see until their body decays. Once that happens, they can only see terrain. Problem solved.

There could be a shorter span for inactivity, macroing would be an activity...but I would suggest an insta log after the timer runs out.

You have to give derrick time to get around to things, quitting won't get anything done any faster. Don't let it frustruate you too much.

Then they couldnt see their own houses? They wouldnt be able to find someone to res them? ect ect.

Must be visible in war mode to see players. Not accurate, but the perfect solution. One thing Divinity does have right.

that "solution" was considered awhile ago and deemed an unfitting fix for this server.
