The "whys" we have now are NEA. The point is this: people that can't pvp for shit have to pull shenanigans to win, and the GY is the gathering place for said scum. Going to bucs is a start to avoid soiling ourselves with stupid deaths to such bs, but It's still not going to stop the tools who town gate in an even fight. TRULY being skilled just doesn't matter to a large percentage of the remaining players. I do not call anyone who guard line recalls and town gates during an even fight, pvpers. Things look grim. Anyone can run around and pretend to pvp.
