2 weeks to a month... a month MAX.

I mean, all you have to do is log in and open the door correct? If you forget to, it's your own fault :) I like 2 weeks. If you don't want to lose your house, before you sleep at night, log in, open the door and boom, the house is like new. Come on everybody, join the 2 week bandwagon, decaying houses will make the game more lively and add something new. Running around clicking signs, hoping a house is going to decay, checking on it later and seeing it's refreshed *doh*. But maybe that one time you check back in on a IDOC house and see its gone, with all these items on the ground... clicking to release the item, and running to avoid pks, and even honest people turning into PKs themselves... oh the chaos! HOW FREAKING FUN DOES THAT SOUND?! 2 weeks it is! :)

OH man....so reminiscient of my time in IDOC guilds on GL. When i look back on it it kinda seems silly...just running around looking for IDOC's all day long, but it does add a fun factor and there was more than enough player interaction (aka massive battles for territory) at those house sites :P

I agree a month though...wait until the population gets larger and there is an actual real estate market on second age..

"like new"
"slightly worn"
"somewhat worn"
"fairly worn"
"greatly worn"
"in danger of collapsing"

that is the list from good to bad just wondering how long it is gonna be for each level of decay.

It was 7 days.
Having at one time owned 11 different accounts with multiple houses on each account...trust me I remember it was 7 days lol.
But anyone friended to your house could refresh it for you by clicking the house sign.
OSI doesn't have decay now...as long as you pay your monthly fee your houses last, whether or not you ever log in.
There isn't enough players on the shard yet to really worry about a need for decay.
But perhaps change the sign to not read "idoc" or anything until the final week of the specified time. That will keep folks from wasting months camping a house that isnt going to fall.

I checked on it today and every day since... still F-ing "fairly".

The 90 day decay rate for houses was NOT T2A. This should be lowered. Not only will it make people log on more often but it will also free up spots for people who ARE PLAYING that want that spot. (Plus the free loot from the fallen house is always a plus)
Sill fairly =/

We'll be changing the decay rate as soon as we can get to it.

House decay will be changed to 30 days after next restart and after the next house refresh. You will recive a message when you refresh the house.
