When working resist is it better to not have eval?

i once ran 2 clients side by side macroing mage/med/resist, one with eval and one without. their values were very close the entire time, they started seperating a bit at 90+ since you can get a string of gains which are equal to hours and hours of macroing.

they actually gmed within a few hours of each other, the non-eval client reaching GM first.

i even went as full blown nerd as to macro 2 characters like this on test center to figure it out.
