IMO UOSA is the best server for new players, speaking from my own experience years ago.

while i entirely agree with you and disagree with OP's original post and i also agree with several other people in regards to how to easily obtain regs. Did you even read the original post just saying ? because i don't see how this apply's to the original complaint as things were entirely diffrent 'when you started' vs whats being complained about here. Just saying not trying to flame

Simple solution if you dont wanna buy from player run vendors.
1. Make a Mage shop runebook
2. Create a buy agent with 999 of each reg.
recall between all shops, and 5 minutes later you should have about 500 of each reg. This is what I do and I have not had a problem getting the regs I need. Vesper, Moonglow and Skara usually have a fair amount of regs available.
Join the mage guild that way you are only paying 4gp for pearl and moss.
