I don't mind, I just think its a bit off to hinder someone when they can obviously afford the bulk quanity.. It would be legit if their were faction vendors, but town vendors.. ;\Deano wrote:Agree completely. It's supply and demand, if you buy them out, they'll restock with twice as much.
I really don't think you should increase the minimum at all Derrick. It's not hard to come back every 40 minutes and buy out regs. They can spend a few hours stocking them up and be fine. That's how we used to have to do it anyway.

I understand they don't want to flood the market with supplies... I've ran my own server I know how it works but not everybody plays 24 hours a day, especially to wait on an NPC mage to restock.. lol..

Find a bulk reg seller (player vendor.) That's what we did in the old days if we were to lazy to buy regs. Honestly it's not hard to buy regs, mark a few runes, recall from town to town, you can have over 500 of each reg even w/o having to "buy them up" with little to no effort. Chances are you play more than an hour at a time. Buy out some reg vendors (go to towns with low population), go farm or train, and every so often check back to the vendors.
If we're trying to be an accurate shard, this is something that must stay.

Uh.. this server is 3 months old, in which the 1st month nobody has anything. No one has enough regs to sell bulk, and even if they did, they wouldn't. It's merely supply and demand, and you've taken out the supply, and left a whole bunch of demand, with nowhere to get it from without camping NPC's.

agreed, otherwise there would be no point to selling bulk amounts of regs on a vendor

Vendors reset their default stock back to 20 upon Server Reset. This is no longer valid, nor is it really necessary to have a productive server.. It's merely an inconvience you are supporting so that its harder obtain bulk supplies.RoadKill wrote:alatar wrote:I understand they don't want to flood the market with supplies... Re: What happened to the regs in Vesper
in my opinion regs are fine... but vendors starting with 40 of each reg is a good idea since populations is growing ...

I think you are all forgetting the player base is rather small, especially for us who are not on during peek hours, so the no one else is buying the vendors out and i don't have more then 2 hours on weekdays at night to play uo... even less of late so either decrease restock times to 15 min or increase the minimum, it would be very nice until the server get a more even player base, by even i mean spread out across time zones.

So if you only have 2 hours to play, why do you need so many regs?Alex21 wrote:I think you are all forgetting the player base is rather small, especially for us who are not on during peek hours, so the no one else is buying the vendors out and i don't have more then 2 hours on weekdays at night to play uo... even less of late so either decrease restock times to 15 min or increase the minimum, it would be very nice until the server get a more even player base, by even i mean spread out across time zones.

Ok but youre forgetting that when the player base is big you also have to wait on line just to have a chance to get the regs that are bought up. Its a double edged sword.Alex21 wrote:I think you are all forgetting the player base is rather small, especially for us who are not on during peek hours, so the no one else is buying the vendors out and i don't have more then 2 hours on weekdays at night to play uo... even less of late so either decrease restock times to 15 min or increase the minimum, it would be very nice until the server get a more even player base, by even i mean spread out across time zones.
