i can completly understand being frustrated but crossing the line saying the shard ive played for years is terrible cause u got pked?! thats the only reason i play here i fn pk its how i play the game and is exactly why i dont play any server with trammel he can quit but he will come back this is not only the best t2a server its also the only one that exists because the Gms here dedicated so much of there own free time to make it all possible these forums are here for trash talking this server u wanna do that go post on ur facebooks or twitters or whatever the hell u guys do this thread is hurtful to the shard and should be deleted

I have been playing this free shard for about a month now. I've noticed that one of the reasons why this game is not as popular as it used to be is because of the PK's looting and preying on noobs. I played this game from 1998-2004, and back then with the introduction of Felucca for the thieves to live in made the game thrive. Without that unscrupulous element. Maybe this game can have a thriving economy. I mean there are people killing noobs for bone armor and rune books.. for christ sake.. how low can you go. You will never see anything good in this game without a good stable economy. I couldn't even find 1 gm smith to repair my armor. Why because anyone who tries to GM at anything will get killed and looted for the little things that they have. This make the game frustrating and redundant. Have fun killing noobs. But just remember that this game will never see the glory of the true UO.

I quit also not because of wtf ever happened to you.I quit because i have done everything t2a has to offer now i have to go play another shard in some other era because this era was awesome but lets face it without a expansion games die.

UOSA have a Huge community of players that don't PK at all. You have been playing for a month, why is it the first time we hear of you? There is plenty of guild out there willing to help new player, they give gold, resources and housing to help new comer. UOSA is not World of Warcraft. We are a community, get involve with the community. You say that you have been playing for over a month but your forum account was created today, have you ever come on IRC to met the players, to interact with us?

No need to get defensive or hostile about this. It's just my opinion, and personally I can't complain, since it is free.
I appreciate the fact that someone has made the effort to bring this experience back to us. I think that people who like to kill newbs to gain points, should try to kill players that are on their level. Its unfair to see 4 pk'ers on mares attacking a few peeps, trying to level up in a level 1 dungeon. Nevertheless, I agree that this is UO in it's true unadulterated form, and that anyone who wishes to participate needs to conform to its rules.

Let me help you out here. The point of PKing is not to get into honorable duels of good vs evil against worthy opponents. The point of PKing is to gank the crap out of victims, loot them and profit. Why pick on the lowly miner? Because you hope he decided to get 1,000 ingots before banking. Why pick on the lowly unfinished character that's hunting Shame 1? Because you hope they have 10,000g sitting in their pack because they weren't smart enough to head to town and bank while they were ahead.

Coming here and posting a rage quit thread isn't going to stop the "evil" pee kay. As you can tell it's a good way to get mocked, prodded and laughed out of town-- particularly if it seems you made no attempt to make friends and get in league with the plethora of players here that are quite helpful.

This shard needs more dedicated players that can roll with the punches and not give up the second things get difficult. This shard doesn't need fly by night players that cry for trammel the second they get a mud hole stomped in them by PKs.

As a member of an anti-pk guild, I think this post is silly. When I started here, I kept to myself, and stayed out of dungeons because I knew I would be pk'd. I saved up money for my first home killing ettins and trolls in the forest southwest of minoc. If you are hunting low level spawn in a dungeon you might as well find a good forest spawn and not get pk'd/make the same amount of gold.

Also, you should seek out a guild to join. The guild I am in regularly takes newer players on hunts at high level spawn, and they are perfectly safe from pks.

If you need a place to macro, many of us offer temporary housing to new players.

Just stop complaining, because we all went through it, and it's annoying

I have a hard time believing the TS played old school UO.

I mean, if you did you should be hardened to this.

I haven't been PKed officially yet. I mean, I've been killed AFK macroing by gate bombers but not in the "flesh" so to speak.

But I know, no matter how safe I play it, that it will happen one day.

from what I've heard, PKs are pretty respectful here too.

I'm used to being dry looted and my corpse molested.
