Re: Video of Newest UO
There are certain bells and whistles that wouldn't ruin UO. Yes, neon is crap but the new, customizable boats are cool IMO. I also feel there were a few elements from UO:R that weren't that bad.
I think the implementation of certain elements from each incarnation of UO as it has evolved could make for a great shard if done with careful review and playtesting. The Felucca ruleset would have to be in place though, Trammel would not be an option.

Re: Video of Newest UO
Aside from Blaise and Neon colors, I don't really have a problem with everything having different colors.
Mechanically speaking, though, this Era is the best....and that's why this shard is the best.
I've never thought that the colors and hues were important, though. The things i've always been
concerned with was the actual mechanics in the game. PvP, PvM, etc...

Mechanics are indeed important, which is why we need to fix the hally cycle bug/inaccuracy.I've never thought that the colors and hues were important, though. The things i've always been

Mages were never supposed to be able to swing the hally as fast as a dexer.

Isn't it sad that that is something they really added to the game?

Re: Video of Newest UO
I agree that the implementation of certain aspects (housing options, customizable boats, etc) would enhance the game.
The only thing that mustn't change is the T2A mechanics.
Of course, I'm sure this has been discussed ad nauseum in the past.

However, I find the best purple I've seen yet is the spawning hue.

These are indeed the best days of the mechanics of UO, as far as I recall, although I didn't make it past UO:R.
I just wish they'd throw us all a bone here and forego the stance in relation to the UO:R housing types.
In the end, I'm sure most everyone's got their tidbits of future versions they'd like tossed in because it "wouldn't hurt" or would add some fresh flavor to the world that would be FUN.
That's a big call though and affects so many people. Hell, some people may not want to see Small Towers and Log Cabins or Marble Patios.........ok, I'm gonna go cry now.....

I know when I log in and go out and about in the world, it 'feels' like I'm 19 again and to me, that's what I want from UO in a big way. Yeah, I'm a big nostalgic sap, deal with it.

The only thing I really miss from production UO are the GUI menu interfaces and custom housing.

Pacific (98-02) - Mystic of FL
Catskills (03-08) - Roo Avery of VIT, T^B
UOSA - Amos Trask/Roo Avery of WTC
