Do people actually still play this game, or do they just login and hit "Play" on their razor macros?

Seeing as how everyone here is always talking about era accuracy, unattended macroing seems pretty far off from that, as that would bring you into jail on OSI servers at that time. Atleast that was the case on "Europe".

The staff dont have time to constantly monitor players. As long as you are not afk resource gathering then you really arent hurting anyone or anything by afk macroing.
Neither did the staff on OSI servers.

Yet still if they saw someone AFK macroing he was going to jail for it.

I never used Razor before coming on this shard, and it really blew my mind. It really plays large parts of the game for you, and its amazing to see how much depth into the UO-Code it seems to have. Was Razor out/this advanced during T2A times ?

I feel like this got derailed. It's just a mental challenge to see who can come up with the best method. So far I think sheep shearing is the winner, though I think that's up for debate considering it relies on player demand.

But even my method isn't really that great, it doesn't take into consideration how long it'd take to sell the scrolls.

I think shearing also, especially since a new player can do this. You dont have to be GM mage/med/inscribe.

My friend sold well over 5 million bandages in a relatively short period of time on this shard. They did it all legitimately. Sold the bandages at an average of 2.0gp each depending on quantity. It was literally cost effective for them to buy a new large house every week to put them in. At one point I believe they were using 2 keeps, a castle, and 4 towers to farm sheep...all paid for by sheep. Granted, they sold the bandages to players, not NPC's, but yeah. You can make a lot of money doing that.

While it won't win for quickest afk method, I used to just buy all the hides from tanners and make them into leather gloves and sleeves. I forget what the profit margin on it was, but the nice thing was that I would just buy the hides, set my macro to make 30/30 gloves/sleeves, sell them to the vendor, then warp to the next store. Might take a little bit of time to work up the supply, but it was good money I could make while at work that didn't require a long stock up time like inscription did.

Bandages really seem like the ultimate, easiest to make commodity. Very interesting. As long as there's an economy for bandages, I doubt that will ever be surpassed.

Theograd, I'd love to see some numbers for that method. I like that it's different from most other methods, mostly because of it's simplicity. Cool idea.

I want to say it was something like 330% ROI, but that assumes you sell no more than 30 of an item to a vendor per cycle, otherwise they'd pay less.
