Where the F*CK are all the PK hunters?

I have only been pked 3X since I made a recall 2 rune macro and started carrying trapped pouches on me (which has been almost 2months).

Once was by a blue guy that I didn't think was gonna attack me (when in doubt pull it out) and other 2 times I didn't have wings secured and Bill Lumbergh killed 2 of my afk macro guys.

I usually carry at least 12 trapped pouches (cuz all ppl do is paralyze spam) and it seems more than sufficient for a clean getaway.

I been thinking about putting some sort of "clean" verbal taunt on my recall rune macro. Any suggestions?

Also is my sig working right now? I didn't notice til today when I used my laptop that it's link was broken.

Make sure you got "use smart CPU reduction" unchecked as per my stickied thread: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=13814

PM me the spots and time you farm so I can get a good view of possible times to log on and pk hunt, I have been looking at dungeons lately and they have been safe the times I logged on. I see lots of bards, and ask if anyone has seen reds. Perhaps I need to goto t2a more since I'm hearing about lots of people there.

The orcs have been attacking around moongate paths outside of town(brit especially), so be careful for that. They hide and pop out with bows lol.

I know shame doesn't take long til they show up. When I 1st started playing here within the 1st 5 min of doin wind eles lone wolfs will show up. As for the 3rd level on up I haven't had one come in on me but I haven't done shame in long time. Destard has pks, the one on dagger some time does. The one by blackgate guild town (wrong?) sometimes has some WL guys.

Shoot if you want to tangle with some TG guys just go to SkaraBrae North the cotton field and gardens along the water. Usually there will be a lone Terror Guard guy running around (they seem to usually travel in packs but they lone wolf around that area it seems).

Also the Western mining area coming out of Britain sometimes has PK waiting on other side of mountain.

Also the T2A entrance (one that isn't in dungeon you can take pets through) has a pk waiting that kills my tames as I recall away alot of times.

Also sometimes there is PKs around the various public libraries that like to surprise you.

Oh yeah and Brit GY has some but I'm sure every1 knows that.

Maybe Berock & Pied Piper should start hunting together. Its usually safer to hunt in groups anyway.
Also Orphik isn't a pker, he's a member of C^V which is a friendly guild like DG.
Anyway I think most of the DG & C^V people are just busy doing RL stuff since it's nice outside, thats probably why you aren't seeing many of them, that or they quit.

Always keep Magic Reflect up, always keep Reactive Armor on. Here are the two ways i used to farm with a bard:

1. Always keep Recall precast. Provoke your mobs, immediately cast Recall. When you need to finish off a mob, hit Esc, ebolt the mob, immediately cast Recall. When it dies, run up, hit Esc to cancel Recall, double-click corpse, recast Recall. You can drag and drop items from the corpse to your backpack while keeping Recall precast (hold Shift to loot stacked items.) PK shows up, you're already ready to leave.

2. Pro Recall macro:
Cast Recall
Equip invis ring
Wait for Target
Target Rune

Last night I went out farming, and was surpised that I only bumped into 1 set of reds with 2 of them. Got away clean, was almost ..... disappointed? Seems none of the pks are doing anything. I farmed over 100k last night and I was never really even bothered. Was very pleased at this. Then i chose to go ghost spotting and ran into LLs where NWO had a ghost. Also there was a ghost at AW as well as at the t2a passage by del. Send a ghost ahead of time on a 2nd comp/laptop and leave his volume loud then when u hear noise on the laptop recall out.

it's probably a combo of ghosted area's, and just plain old bored pk's.
like you said nobody is really running around trying to kill them or keep a place clear.

so they have like, 10 spots they probably check over and over.

i don't even bother with the dungeons because of this,
i play pretty casually and don't like having to fend off
left over pk pro's while i'm just bored and killing time.
and seriously they just check spots every 10 or 20 minutes.

you could ghost a choke point heading into a room you farm maybe,
and keep a watch on that 2nd window.

there's lots of ways to make money in UO though.
dungeons are just the most obvious.

Well, if you try to run around looking for reds, you wil hardly find them. That's a method we have used in the past to hunt for reds, but it is not very effective. We realilzed we were running around all dungeons, scaring the crap out of the farmers (because honestly, if you see 5-6 guys run on screen at the same time, you don't stick around to figure out who they are and what they want), and at the end of the night we didn't see a single red. So, what we do now, is become the pray. Reds want to kill farmers, so we go out farming, bait the reds in.

Also, Piper, you are pretty safe PMing Orphik your farming location, this should give you a good indication why.

To the OP:

When you tell in irc you are farming alone: pks will show. But when you tell you are with 3: noone shows (no pks). I have yet to test out with 2.

So as others said: farming in groupe much safer, than farming alone. Join DG or CV, they mostly farm with tons of dragons as their guards, making every spot they go almost as safe as a town. Easy to get rich with em
