I've been living in the area for a little short while and the worst trouble you'll find are thieves trying to rob the local mining population.
Spawn is really low, mostly animals with an occasional Ettin or Ogre wandering up.
Good vendors nearby, one of the best Rune Libraries in UOSA, and the Britain Moongate a few screens down.
Definitely a hot spot and great for new players or craftsman.
I've even been running around with my warrior hunting the aforementioned thieves. The miners really appreciate it.
