It seems though that there are just some things you have to live with and adapt to for the love of an outdated game and era. Where else are you going to find such a well developed game with the freedom to kill whoever you feel like?
I must also agree that this thread turned out pretty much like I predicted before even reading more than the title. Many of us are extremely hostile and over emotional in forums. It didn't take long for this thread to explode into unnecessarily rude comments and name calling.
Indeed, those type of comments started in the OP!

What I don't get is why someone would come here to play knowing full well that we are trying to emulate an era as accurate as possible, then tell us to turn it into Trammel by adding no-pk zones, which basically goes against the whole of what this shard is about.
All I can say though is good luck finding a shard that doesn't use Razor and EUO. At least EUO is banned here and the admin do their best to get rid of any users.

I do however appreciate the 3 days of fun I had and I thank the admins for that that, I wish you all the best. However I suggest if you ever wish to gain newcomers in the future you do look into making their making their experience more then 'OMG i was just raped by 4 people running scripts, while minding my own business and trying to have fun' cause that in my mind sums this shard up nicly.
Did you play trammel shards? Dude, this is the best UO server out right now I recommend taking a deep breath and keep playing. If you need help or some starting gold I'd be willing to help you out. I can mark you runes and give you recall scrolls so you can escape pks in the future.
This shard is awesome and pvp is not dead, you haven't even played long enough to know where to find pvp or how it really is.
I sense anger in your posts, relax man there's always been pks in UO.

These kind of attitudes are exactly why you will NEVER see any new players join. Very unfriendly around here and I hope you guys have fun script waring each other. Honestly I have other things to spend my time on, then playing with a bunch of BADS, which is what you all are having a script play the game for you. Try some real pvp sometime and tell me how it goes when you have to actually try.[/quote]
1. I have helped several new players I have spotted or come across who obviously were 'poor' with gold and magic weaps and advice.
2. I dont have the same pc and connection I had when I started on UOSA so now I have a laptop on dial up or a friends pc with a good connection, and razor doesnt work on either one. I dont use any other 3rd party programs. Yet I have a tower in a unique location, a collection of weaps some very high end, all the money I actually need and able to get by in pvp sometimes.
Last night I (solo) killed Megatron when a group of him, Peachy, Prodigy and their blue friend Moridin attacked me. BTW guys great job at being the gimpest gank group ever!! That was so hilarious watching you guys take 20! minutes to kill my nightmare... actually it was wtfpwning all of you but w/e.
3. I left a standing offer on VN boards to anyone from my DAOC server who needed gold or weaps, help etc to start on the shard.
4. Dont go to Shame 1f to make money? There are tons of spots that will never or rarely get you attacked try being a little creative before you quit maybe? Try t2a tons of room there.
5. You played UO before so this 'crying wolf' really doesnt hold any water as you already knew that people PK and grief in this game.
6. You can always go play Darkfall.
Edit: Oh yeah and the population has increased steadily in the last two months alone.

You can clearly see his EUO running in that screenshot.
Seriously, you think it takes scripts to kill a newbie farming in shame?
lolol

Honestly, we don't need players like this. His basic thought is that we all need to play the way he wants us to play, that most people play some different way, and he refuses to just do whatever he wants because of that.
Actually you have that backwards, as I stated I did'nt mind the PKing, hell I thought it would toughen me up, thats where the problem was. I looked into the ways I would need to 'toughen up' thats when I learned about all the scripts n crap running rampant. It became more of an issue of having to play in YOUR way just to have a chance of holding my own. I decided that was not how 'I' wanted to play.
Honestly I wasn't trying to be angry or mad, I knew going in that PK's existed I just figured with a server that had been around for awile and actually held daily events that people would not prey on newbs just for the hell of it, i mean really how many years until you get bored with it. What got me is there was no helpful people around and everyone just wanted to rape you for laughs.

have you tried irc? theres hundreds of people in there daily who spent their entire time helping players.
Sounds like your making over reaching stereotypes about everyone on the server because you got pked, and then were responded to negatively after making a terrible thread.
Try irc
duno where you get the notion of scripts from either, that jsut seems like its coming out of left field.

Yes clearly people are unable to minimize razor/easyUO and run macro's via keystroke. Geeze I take it all back. no wait no I dont.
It take 3 and exactly 3 keys to play mage given the macro's I came across in just 15 short minutes of searching. if you dont believe that is gay then your are obviously one of those people
