I've found that you have approx. 1% chance (each) of pulling a MIB/Tmap(lvl1) while pulling prechest loot.

Wow, I'm sure that will be quite helpful when someone wants to know how much they're losing out on (or gaining) by selling their MIBs vs doing them themselves. That your stock answer for all things mercantile?

The information in this thread would help in figuring the gross profit one could expect from a MIB, as well as how many could be expected to be fished in a certain time period. This is obviously valuable to anyone interested in fishing for MIBs, fishing up MIBs, or buying/selling MIBs.

Not to knit pick, but adding exactly what KIND of item you get would be helpful in determining a fair value for each item...I assume you're going to total in the end for a decent estimate of 27 hours worth of fishing?

Even if you pulled 2 million out of this, that's roughly 75k an hour which in the end is probably worth it unless you have a tamer.

I assume this isn't ALL axes you got, you're just updating?

From the looks of everything though I'm gonna bet you got 2.75m +++

Which would make fishing quite a profitable profession, especially if you can do MIBs quickly...10 an hour would mean 270 in this time frame given you're a robot and don't eat/sleep/poop which would mean that a rough estimate of 2 million turns into somewhere in the realm of 4 million which turns into 150k an hour which is insanity.

Ok I'm done.

I think the premise of your entire comment is absurd. The only investment being a merchant requires is buying ingots from players. There's little to no risk and the reward from selling 800gp dex suits appropriately matches that risk.

Anyways, here's another examination of mibs.

Brules wrote:My current problem with fishing is the pull rates. It seems that the rate is actually 1 Tmap OR MiB per hour, not 1 MiB per hour average. Something is still screwy with the pull rate. Other than that, it is a good way to make $ if you can put the time into it.
This is a VERY Valid Point, for months now we have been told that the Pull rate is set at 1 mib per hour on Average!

when in actuality it is NOT. If we are Truely seeking to achieve and ERA Accurate Server we need to fix This!

All Aspects of the Game should be ERA Accurate, and not just the Popular Ones!

Well until JRC starts sailing the seas once again fishing is entirely way too safe.

Thanks for sharing the results!
Somewhat correct. You don't actually find the mib's and maps in the chests, but you don't have to fish all the way to your next sos spot. They can be fished up with shipwreck items before you pull the chest.
