This comment makes no sense. Why would someone want to play on a shard that has bugs. Its like playing Diablo 1 with all of the bugs. Totally pointless and a waste of time.

Aren't "from what I hear" rumors so great. I am not picking at XaN, but picking at the fact of how rumors like this can negatively affect the shard if they go unchecked.

The bugs Derrick is keeping are like "use incognito to turn into a female, put on female armor. When it wears off, you are a guy with chick armor on." kinda bugs.

He's not retaining the house exploitation bugs or anything of that nature.

They are called "bugs" because OSI called them bugs, meaning they were game features that were unintended. However they are part of the game and part of the era. Black dye tubs for example were created via an exploitative bug, but when OSi fixed the bug, they allowed the players that had used the bug to keep their dyes and their black clothes, and later even gave out black dye tubs as rewards. Precasting was also called a bug when it was removed in late 1999, but it was reintroduced as a feature in 2000. These "bugs" are entirely the nature of UO; finding a way to recall to the tops of buildings for example. These "bug features" give UO a creative depth that no other game has ever been able to replicate. Most rares are results of bugs, the list goes on and on.

I have been talking to people *cough* Maahes *cough* and this is what I have heard about the shard and upcoming changes:

- Occasionally llamas will spawn that look like energy vortexes.

- Hemperor is really Derrick.

- If you put on an orc helm, press the tab button and double click on another player while in town, 5000 gold will be placed in your bank.

- Maahes is really Queen Bee.

- Ettins will on rare occasions (1 in 1500ish) drop a special hat called "An Ettin's Cap." These are purple and shaped like a normal cap, but when you put them on you turn into a ettin and must then locate and kill a Ettin Hunter NPC within an hour or you will die with stat loss. The caps normally sell on vendors for about 100k.

- Rocket Boots is really chumbucket.

- The next patch will make it so that archery damage is cut in half, katana swing speeds are reduced to the same as viking sword swing speeds, lichs can cast incognito and everything a player says will end with "OMG U FAG WTF" (this last part is expected to have a noticeable effect on just 1/3 of the playerbase).
