smart last target isn't viable for me because i switch targets too much. and no nightshark, no spam clicking. at one point i actually thought it was because the cursor was clicking between the bars in the party health bar, but its happened to me several times since the party system has been taken out as well.

Yea nerd smart last target is all I need to fix this problem :/

Actually, using Razor's last target does get around the problem but it ultimately doesn't fix it... Clicking for heals in a GvG situation is much better for obvious reasons. I don't really see anyone setting a new last target before healing in a 3v3+ or more since that would be quite NOT SO WISE TO DO IN MY VERY CIVILIZED AND NON-INFLAMMATORY OPINION.

tried it last night, mana will be consumed when you cast GH on a static object.

bug still exists, its a pia when you are doing 3v3 or 4v4. Or fielding and switching targets alot.

I'm not sure that there's anything that can be done about this. Targeting items such as a crystem ball, door, etc, is supposed to complete the spell and consume mana to the best of my knowledge.

It did not happen before (maybe about 9months ago)?

It took a bit of hunting but i found the patch that implemented this; I didn't realize it was this long ago either:

Just happened to me in the 2v2. I healed ochocinco, mana was used, but he was not healed. He was 2 tiles away from me.

no its nothing to do with player skill sorry dagon, thanks for your contribution though.

its happened to me enough times to know its not got anything to do with clicking random objects in the game world. clicking static objects on the map don't cause your mana to go down anyway so it can't be that.

I've had to edit and remove quite a few posts from this thread. Please keep the thread civil and non-inflammatory. I'd hate to have to see this thread get locked without a resolution or before all the useful info it has to provide can actually be provided.

Also please try and keep the language on the less profane side, for reasons stated in the hyper-linked thread.

I'm reviewed this pretty thoroughly. The only way i can see that this can happen is by mistargeting. Mana will be lost and reagents consumed with no message if you target any item. Looking at the Greater Heal spell, if you target a player or other mobile you will always get a message. If you are not getting a message, you must have targeted an item, in the arena, this is probably due to targeting the ground, which is composed of items.

This could explain my situation in the duel between Eulogy and me at the Turtle Bay arena.

Lifebars take up a large portion of the screen, I am certain I am hitting them with GH. Log on test and spam GH on a lifebar, it will occur for you.
