Our general policy, although some special exceptions have been made for game breaking issues, is that we try not to touch or take what has already been made to exist, even if accidental.
For the most part these items or conditions eventually disappear. There are many examples of this, from locking down secures on steps, custom dressed vendors, backwards facing backpacks, to axes which can be equipped with a shield. Creativity and discovery are big parts of UO, and we try not to punish it unless it's dreadfully exploitative. In the end though there is little that lasts forever.
