The island will be changing hands in a day or so, so it'll be up to the new owners. As for placing houses, there's no room to place on the island, but there's plenty of places out in the world to place smalls.

Yeah, that's what I was after. So I can save up some money, buy a deed and place one still. That is great! Anyone want to loan me the money?

Though I can't loan you the cash I can probably point you to a few open locations when you have it.
