This is only funny if, in fact, you do enforce at least some permits.

Today i was PKed and looted by someone named throw me a rope of UOH. He worked with someone else who was posing as a farmer named Wise of $$$. Not sure if it was the real Wise but it does not matter. The reason why I'm posting here is because it seems like alot of people get dry looted out of their hard earned gold and there is hope to change the way PvP consent works. The following is a copy of the conversation I had with gm Braden. There is a simple solution to nonconsentual PvP. I know the shard wants to be as era accurate as possable but there are certain things that are better if its not. So vote.

You got dry looted so you want to change the shard's rules?
Era accuracy means we strive to duplicate the exact rules of 1999. Why is this hard to grasp?
Most pks will not dry loot you, its a waste of time. If they took your gold, move on. Better yet, next time kill the pk.

Matron, don't you find it odd that Braden accused you of scamming me days before you place a tower at the exact spot where the object was stolen from me. Maybe its because you did scam and have scamed many before. Why don't you just fess up and admit to everyone that you scam every chance you get, will scam again.

Its pretty obvious that it was be her/him. She/he has confessed that shehe scams, Its a known fact on the shard that she/he scams. Nothing about how you got scammed is illegal though.
Post all transactions on the forums so EVERYONE can read them before doing it.

Whatever man I think it would be better if it were changed. I could care less if someone pks me. Now if hours and hours of farming the same 3 or 4 spawns that are worth going to is taken in one foul swoop thats another story. Totally out of control in that respect. There is a reason why they changed certain things. Its because it made it better for the majority of the players. They did take it a little far. Isn't The the purpose of this forum to post idea's for the shard to get better? As far as the shard being era accurate. Some things are, Example: you can only sell 5 idems to a NPC at a time. Some things are not. Take PvP, it was a big part of T2A, I remember the way it REALLY was. You cant tell me that the pvp on this shard is the SAME as it was in 99. So there why can some small things be the same and some other big things be different?

No, its for improved era-accuracy. Not for knee-jerk "change this now!" posts every time something bad happens to someone.

It is not the exact same as it was. Its extremely close to it though. After 11 years of playing people have mastered the game. We're extremely close to it but we can't control how well people play the game.
I forgot who wrote this but this is completely true its something along the lines of "this shard has the top .5% of players from the era. They're playing it because they were good at it and had fun with it and want to relive those times"
Im no where near the top 1/2% of OSI shards but its still fun for me, and when I get completely pwned outside of town shrug it off and keep going.
I had matron wipe a black dye tub off me after i bought it right away, 190k down the drain but oh well I'm still here and haven't bitched about that once.

They get banned from the forum/IRC not sure about banning IP addresses or getting new ones. But I haven't heard of one person being scammed who posted on the forums/Main IRC channel. Please note this does not include private messages on IRC or on the forums.
