Maybe so, but you'd still see 20+ corpses of people being res-killed during the era at healer shops, with the resurrected players resolved to trash talk their griefers.

On Atlantic, we called it Drobing and being new ressed was being drobe (for Death Robe).

E.G., "Yeah, those 911 nubs drobed me like 20 times because Vista Mista hates me." "Dude, chill, I'm drobe."

So as a suggestion, why not change the design to limit resurrection?
The way I read that is : on 30 august 1998 there was no resurrection limit.
I honestly never remember this feature either since I never really res killed people and avoided being res kill at all costs but that doesn't mean a whole lot for an accuracy debate. I think your post pretty much sums it up to me in all honesty. I wouldn't doubt it the very least that OSI abandoned the project.

I thought this was added after factions was implemented, to keep people from abusing the skill gain during stat loss?
