If you'd like, I can give you my vendor coordinates and I'll let you drop some books in there advising against buying those items, so I can lose business there.

I'm all for no-censorship, and you can check my history and see I'm not a flamer or complainer, but I have to say: that was really annoying. You might not see the harm, but I think you are definitely hurting my opportunity to make money. Let me explain why I think so, and if I'm wrong, I apologize. The problem is that I don't think zzyzx, Lor, Wise, or Mirage will adjust their bid based on your advice (like THOSE guys need your advice), it's that now they see that the auction is getting negative press, they will assume they are bidding from a point of strength. Whether I am or not, they might now think that I'm willing to sell for less, and that alone will put downward pressure on the bidding. If I'm known to be a scammer, I would expect shardmembers to protect the shard, but to flame an auction only hurts me.

Anyway, tell you what, Hoots, auction canceled.

SMELT IT

over react more.. a guy asked for opinions on the value of the lot and i gave my opinion. I had no intentions of screwing you or givng you bad press. I mean... read your first post... you admit yourself you are not sure what they are worth....

what ever. My bad.

I hate to say it but Hoots is right that zzyzx did ask for a price.

In any case, I think I'd have to be on crack to sell +20,+20,+25 Vanq + 7 other powers, one silver, and all but 2 with +10 tacts (many with +20 tacts) for 50K.

To me, it's not about adding up the prices of the individual bows. It's about setting up an archer for life with an arsenal. So they're not repairable. So if you are good enough to use a bow until and breaks and not have it looted, 10 bows will last you your shard lifetime.

Who wants to hop from vendor to vendor to get high level bows. It's a convenience fee.

At this point, I still am going to have to cancel the auction. If anyone wants to to make an offer PM me. You know that south of 60K, I'll say no. You know that at 100K, I'll say yes. Anything in between I'll have to think about.

Hope it works out for you. Good luck with your sale.

My opinion is these bows are now worth 200K :D

No, they won't. Vanq bows that are used heavily are the same as Ruin bows, or worse. Your Vanq effectively becomes a Power, then a Force, then a Might, etc.

Don't ask for advice if you don't want to hear the answer. GL selling used bows.

Poor, Resentful Archer Mikel123 wrote:Don't ask for advice if you don't want to hear the answer. GL selling used bows.
*Sigh*. Why won't this thread die. I WON'T sell you my bows Mikel123. Sorry. You're obviously too low on gp right now to afford a nice collection like this. And by the way, I didn't ask for advice. zzyzx did. And I recognized the fact that Hoots was responding to his request with his post, and said as much. So that's Hoots excuse. What's yours? Resent, perhaps?

I will say that I appreciate you fiending on them so bad. It's a terrible part of human nature, but I have to admit it makes me enjoy them even more.

Again, I'm sorry I can't sell these bows. I might be able to rummage up a few Might or Force ones if that's in your budget. You can also try asking around at the Brit bank. There's lots of nice players there willing to help out.

Here's my math, just to show you where I came up with MY pricing. You can argue until your blue in the face, but unless the game mechanics change drastically, I get to price them. My bows, Mikel123. Not yours.:
A +25 vanq bow goes for 10K. That's just a fact. Something is worth what someone will pay for it. Let's be conservative and call the two +20's only 5K each. So now we are up to 20K. There's 3 +20 powers (if you'll notice my reply to you, I said I had another). Let's call those 2K each. Up to 26K. Of the other 5, two are just plain power...worth less than 1K, but the of the other 3, one is silver, one has charges, and one is +10 tact. Let's give those 1.5K each on average and 1K for the last 2 combined. So that's 31.5K total. Now, go and try to find that collection one at time. It will take you at least 4 hours, if it's even possible, and we all know that a lot of vendors have their magic items ridiculously over-priced. In 4 hours a bad bard can pull in about in 30K, more like 100K. So surcharging the whole lot an extra 30K makes a lot of sense.

Indeed. And yours are still unsold, correct? Just checking.

If they're possibly-used-but-will-totally-last-you-for-life bows that will never degrade, just like the rest of what you're selling, then count me in. Especially if I can pay a convenience fee too.

1 massive surpassingly accurate heavy crossbow of ghouls touch and power with 18 charges - 10k
1 indestructible exceedingly accurate bow of daemons breath and power with 16 charges - 4k

Would consider buying these as well if they are confirmed new:
1 supremely accurate bow of vanquishing
1 exceedingly accurate bow of vanquishing
1 massive exceedingly accurate bow of power

First, I'll accept those two offers.

As for the rest: I checked with a 50 arms lore mule. Everything you asked about is new, EXCEPT (*sniffles*) the supremely accurate one (message was "has some wear an tear"). I guess the owner of the tower that went IDOC took that one out for a spin a few times.

On the plus side I actually have another exceedingly accurate bow of power (unrelated to the IDOC...just from barding and treasure hunting). I actually mentioned that in one of my earlier replies in this thread. So here's the run-down:

1 supremely accurate bow of vanquishing [NOT NEW]
1 exceedingly accurate bow of vanquishing NEW
1 massive exceedingly accurate bow of power NEW
1 exceedingly accurate bow of power NEW

8K for that group of 3 is a little too low for me. I'd do 15K for that group. For 20K, I'll throw in the used sumpreme vanq. I'm still good on the original 14K if you want to just do that. Thanks.
