Not that I participate in a lot of 1v1, but of everything that I've watched, agreed that macing does have a pretty nice edge there. It's a tough decision to allow red pots in. If you do that, then shouldn't yellow pots be in so that dexxers can have a shot at surviving burst damage? And then if red pots are allowed in, macing takes a huge hit.

You can heal damage, you cant heal stamina. Whether you eat a few pieces of food eventually you will be boned. A mage can blast a dexxer but the dexxer is more than likely going to disrupt a few spells and have time for aids to kick in. Think about this, your fighting a guy and he blasts you w/ magery and you heal w/ aids...ok fair enough. Your a mage fighitng a macer, he hits you five times and you can do nothing but stand there for the rest of the fight until you're dead because you have no more stamina. See my point? I've watched plenty of dexxers beat mages and vice versa...i havent seen somebody beat a macer once they ran out of stam. Thats just too one sided imo.

At this rate people are going to begin to see how gay the macing is in tournies because they cant use a red pot so EVERYONE is going to make a macer and then it will have 0 diversity and will become extremely boring after time.

then heal potions should be allowed because macing drains stam, but that hally does 40 points of damage in one shot

and then everyone wouldnt make a macer, they would make a hally mage

Hence you should be able to have just a limited amount of tr pots or food!

Um like i said, you can always heal damage you cant heal stamina. And my hally RARELY does 40 dmg it does on avg. between 20-30 but its slow and misses often.
And yes i dont mean unlimited red pots i mean have a certain amount you can have. You do realize that heal pots doesnt just benefit a warrior it also benefits everyone else. However, no other weapon class drains the living shit out of your stamina like maces do. Seems funny that you cant concussion blow w/ axes or para blow w/ spears, but you can render someone incapable of running with a mace...Especially when the macer you're fighting precasts gheal the whole fight and we all know you cant do shit to someone like because you can heal through poison and then after holding gheal the whole fight and your stam is gone he just goes to town. It takes the skill out of the fight.

There is also a poll going, be sure to cast your votes. Right now there's no way to differentiate which potions are allowed, and for sure no way to count how many might be used. Everything is up for discussion here though, points are very valid (to me anyway).
We'll try a tourney with all pots allowed tonight to see how it goes. I suspect it will be long fights.
