Well actually there was a bug a week back or so that allowed teleportation into castles, regardless of any ovens you put up, without even needing a tower to teleport from.

its obvious why the deeds from osi t2a and our shard don't have the same properties.
by turning in your trophy points to get your clothing blessed. you couldn't do that on osi t2a. the deeds that a gm crafted as a reward for players has nothing to do with osi t2a. the deeds that people got from clean up brit should have the same properties as osi, but not a deed obtained as a reward.
does that make any sense?

I think it is nearly impossible to tell where the clothing bless deed came from

Once again, the only difference between an OSI CBD and a UOSA CBD is that a UOSA CBD has its allow damage value set to false, which has been consistently proven to be inaccurate.
This isn't an item Derrick created from scratch; it was a preexisting item he made available via CUB and trophy turn-ins that had an incorrect RunUO property by default.
Era accurate. Deal with it.

read all arguments pointing out the obvious differences above.
No offense to most people in this thread but....
there are people who actually were in game and were told this avatar to avatar VS people who are completely speculating on what might have been said and telling people what they actually heard when they weren't there.
Its irritating.

Sorry BF, I just wanted to introduce the possibility that these conversations were being taken out of context.

This was never claimed, nor is it relevant to my argument. Pre-existing or not, Derrick knew that CBD's behaved differently on OSI T2A, but he decided to introduce them as they currently exist, presumably offering them at a commensurately higher price to account for their differing properties.
The fact that this is a RunUO default has very little bearing on the argument in my mind. The departure this default has from OSI T2A has been known to the staff since the introduction of the deeds (and if not from the very inception, from the days immediately following), and the staff has proactively proffered these items to players for nearly two years with this knowledge. If this was a real era accuracy concern for Derrick, it should have been nipped in the butt as soon as the issue was recognized, not two-years down the line after countless hours were expended in pursuit of the items. Changing CBD's in light of the recent outcry would amount to ignoring the complete complicity of staff, shifting the burden associated with the problem to the players, and could be categorized as populism at best.

For the record, clothing hit points were introduced after the launch and all pre-existing clothes had them added to them and this can easily be done the same for blessed items.
It's likely just not a top priority yet, that could be a bit time consuming.

There is no reason that blessed clothing cannot just start breaking. Sure, resetting all currently blessed items durability to max would be an appropriate compensation.
Everyone else is just overthinking it, because it may upset a tiny minority of "shard veterens".

The appropriate compensation for selling someone something as invulnerable and then later making it breakable would be to give people their money/silver back.
The only compensation for buying something and getting something else is a refund.

You didn't get something else; you got a clothing bless deed which does exactly as it implies; it blesses your item so it cannot be stolen or looted. The fact is the CBD should have never made your clothing invulnerable to begin with, which it currently does.
To say Derrick knew this from the beginning is complete BS. Thats like saying Derrick knew bandages should be cut one at a time, that katanas should've been slower than they are, that tool kits should've been craftable, etc.
You can't expect Derrick to know everything except what is currently present to him; at the time if you asked him "Hey Derrick, are katanas the fastest weapon in-game?" He'd say yes. Then when accuracy was produced, it needed to be corrected, so Derrick fixed it. Simple as that; a lot of people lost out because katana prices dropped considerably, but nobody cried or complained as much as you ladies are.
You aren't losing your mask or sandals, they're being modified to allow damage which should've been done a long time ago.

Who here would be opposed to:
rainbow neon invincible llama
skin hue change deed
or other ridiculous itee
as a reward?
Sure, they're inaccurate, but if "Derrick knows they're inaccurate and implements them anyway, it's ok."
