Well said. GK why dont you fight these guys back with every means at your disposal......do you really give 2 craps about what TG or ACE think of you for killing the hell out of their reds?

I would think you would enjoy the praise from hundreds of blues who would thank you and anyone else who can thin the red's numbers out more than the scorn of a few reds?

GuardianKnight wrote:Alex....dunno why you are even in this thread. You are what they call a bottom feeder. You don't fit in the pvp category or the pvm. You aren't a crafter of any significance. All i have seen you do is loot stuff people kill and force people to pk you.
Lol, you tool.

If your at a spawn i want you will have to defend it, luckily Pisilo come along to do it for you or you might have just quit the shard, I spend my time in this game never doing the same thing twice, sometimes i hunt, sometimes i pk, sometimes i craft.

I actually on average give one new player a week, 5k and a runebook to help them get started, so I will loot the fuck out of what you kill when ever i see you because i don't like you.

However i would probably leave most people to their spawn and find some where else.

You just admitted to be a bottom feeder and then justified it by saying you hand 5k to people. Grats.

Are you as big of a douche in real life as you are in this game Alex, cause that sure is the way you present yourself...

Sadly, if this post is any indication, I would have to agree.

It's true, there is millions of gold walking around in the wilderness at any one time and hunting the wilds is almost completley risk free. Grab a cheap vanq weapon and just start clearing out whole areas. The forest SW of Minoc has great spawn and often spawns 3 monster camps at a time giving you 3 chests you can unock with magic unlock. I've gotten very nice vanquish weapons, loads of deer/bear hats, id/lighting wands not to mention all the gold and regs from clearing out that forest and never so much as seen a red there once. The Northern Territories are great too with the heavy Air Elemental spawns (alongside lots of other stuff) and penty of sheep to shear. Then there the Lost Lands hotspots like The City of the Dead and Ophidian base, sure you will see Pks at Ophidians sometimes but very very rarely by comparison to the dungeons and I've only ever seen PKs once in the City of the Dead.

Also being a total scab and looting & selling everything that drops, including regular weapons and armour, and you'll soon find you can make plenty of cash without having to deal with PKs at all. Don't leave scrolls, gems, crappy magic items; sell it all!

I still hit up dungeons of course, but when it's peak times for the PKs I keep to my alternatives. I got my first small house this way in my first week playing and now I happily own 2 well equipped smalls and an L-Shape and also have 3 completed/equipped characters to muck around with. Honestly if you are struggling to get started then swallow some pride and go hunt the wilds. It's also a great way to see all of the quirky less travelled areas and sights that UO has to offer and combines perfectly with IDOC/house space hunting and resource gathering. It's win-win.
I agree, but I don't think you've pulled out vanqs from those chests, if you did it must have been a fluke

Yeah, this is good advice. Also, the Sell agent in Razor is a tremendous help. Ultimately, I had every scroll on there (except Recall and Gate), every gem type, etc. Just be careful with weapons; I don't quite know how it interacts with weapon types and you sure don't want to sell one of the nice magic weapons you pull from a chest.

Sandro wrote:Not to de-rail your complains here, but we did kill you (and your 2 (?) dragons) in cove gazers, and got 7800 gold from you. I was talking to clyde just after we recalled out, and the first thing I said was, "why does he only have 2 dragons, I wouldn't of even bothered going in there if he had 4 or more.."

The real solution is understanding how being a stat-loss pk works. If there is a greater loss at risk for us than there is to benefit by killing you, we'll bounce out. Your measly 8000 gold doesn't compare to the -20.0 all skills I take if I die, and doesn't even buy the regs required to train back up.

To skip to the point, GK, you're a tamer, you should have at least 4 dragons with you if you're going to solo-farm, especially in such a high-traffic area such as Covetous Gazers.

Just my .02$, coming from the most active pk here. Also, to note, the spot we killed you is the only place I have ever died on Total Darkness, and it was dragons fire-breath I died too, after being archer-turreted.

You were just under-manned, that's why we came in. 2 Dragons won't stop me and clyde, not when we can cross-heal the damage. Also, I don't think you have wrestling, I would substitute hiding for wrestling asap.
This dont work me and stanger tried to farm with him having 30 dragons there and it ended up with 30 dragons vs 12 reds casting ev's and trying to gank us down it was like every 2 mins 2 or 3 more reds would show up to kill whoever was there and join up with the other reds and dragons dont listen every time to ever command and theres a lot of shit the can get stuck on in a dungeon.
