No they should not.

Some of this stuff would not be tolerated on OSI, all the racial slurs and harassment.

I don't remember racial slurs or sexual harassment being allowed on OSI, that was a bannable offense.

These were bannable offenses on OSI.


So in those terms, this is NOT era accurate.

This is not the second age I remember.

I agree with GMs not interfering with the game. Your allowed to do whatever you want. But people here take it to a personal level and attempt to attack people personally any way they can. There needs to be rules and enforcement against that.

I am sorry but I don't know if I can tolerate people running around saying n##### this and n##### that all the time. I have always been strongly anti-racist and it seems there is no boundaries to what people can say on this shard.

Most of the scum here feel the need to throw in racial/sexual remarks like its required here.

If you were new.. would you want to come to a shard and be called a f###### n##### the first ten minutes of your UO experience?

-Contribute NOTHING constructive or helpful to the forums, instead posting insulting the above mentioned remarks.
-Play the game with the sole-purpose of making other players miserable and/or griefing them til they quit.
-Enjoy and pursue these activities regularly and take pride in it.

This is an example of players who should be banned. NOT TOLERATED. They are counter-productive to shard/community growth.

there's a language filter for a reason... never understood complaining about this in any game with a language filter.

It's stupid ya, but if it bothers you to the point where you want banning to take place, you might wanna consider turning on your language filter so you dont have to be offended by these "bad words".

The big issue it seems that the same people who are using the racial/sexual remarks also seem to be the one and the same who do the other unsocialable issues with the shard. Think its quite important to distinguish between these issues. The racial/sexual slur that takes place shouldn't be (and infact never was in osi) tollerated. The griefing and pk'ing are seperate issues.

Some people need to be Reminded of the following:

We'd rather not go into the specifics of all the actions we consider physical harassment, but we do want to make it clear that it is not okay to ruin the fun of UO for other players, specifically when that is the intent behind your actions. It is important to realize and accept that everyone plays this game differently, and everyone has different expectations from the game and from the other players. Ultima Online is a social setting, and as such, we expect our players to treat one another with the same respect and dignity they would use in any other social situation.

If your sole purpose and intent in any action is to continually upset, aggravate, or otherwise annoy another player, you may be a "grief player." Using game mechanics to cause grief to others can also be seen as exploitation, and will be treated accordingly by game staff.

If someone is using grief tactics against you, please report it to a Game Master using the Help button on your paperdoll. Once the Help menu appears, choose the Harassment option, and enter the exact name of the other player, and a brief description of his actions. For example: Jody keeps luring these poison ele's to us and hiding. Clearly luring!

The following are NOT considered physical harassment:

* Res killing
* Stealing or kill stealing
* Legal player killing, such as takes place in guild and faction wars
* Refusal to take turns at spawn points
* Refusal to resurrect another player
* Blocking a recall location
* Area Peacing

Before you submit a harassment complaint, be sure you understand what constitutes harassment and that you have followed these steps:

* You have asked the player to "please stop" (and then they have continued to repeat the offending behavior).
* You have tried to remove yourself from the situation, for example, by recalling away or moving several screens.
* You have done nothing to instigate or further encourage the harassment.
* You have added the player to your ignore list, which is located in your UO options, under Filter Options.
* Your account information is up to date (including a current email address).

You shouldn't make changes to the original Policy. Players who lure monsters to try and kill your video game character and steal your loot don't deserve to be banned. It's simple game mechanics. I would suggest going to an area where Jodi isn't griefing people. Or you can kill Jodi if you're equipped to do so.

I don't think Jody should be banned from UOSA for luring monsters to kill your characters.

Really action should only be made by GMs if its ridiculous IMO (Spamming stuff at gathering places, blocking ppl from moving to verbally harass them, etc.)

20 ppl talking offensive can be ignored/avoided very easily.

If you don't like the trash talk forum, don't read it. Thats like going to a porn site and complaining about all the porn that they show.

I couldn't care less if ACE or anyone else offensive got banned, so I'm not siding with them. The guys that talk like that are dumb and I ignore/avoid it. If it bothered me bad enough, I'd put up the language filter and put them on ignore.
