I've always been rather fond of neon effects myself. The dark blue looked fine too, but was damn hard to see with any daylight on my screen.

Since this thread started, we changed to font colors back to what we had before. The buttons however are different still, with teal highlight rather than the neon blue we had before. and the background images are gone.
