Int Gains? did something change?

Post by Hoots »

A few months ago going from 100 dex to 100 int with a 10 pt SS and I-ID see-saw took around an hour.

Last night i see-sawed for around 3 hours and gained around 10 points of int.

Overnight I macro'd magery/med/ei on one char and a SS/Music/I-ID/Music/EI/Music loop on another and neither saw big int gains.

You can get to 100 str / 100 dex with herding in no time at all.

Is there a new method to raise int that im not aware of or is something jacked? Im trying all the tricks and tips that worked on OSI (and on this shard up to a the last time i raised int) with no luck.

Any tips?

Who would of thought the hardest part of making a 7x-tank is getting int to 95-100 ... :D

Wasn't the spirit speak re-use timer corrected not very long ago to the era accurate 10 second delay?

The delay prior to that change was around 4-5 seconds.

i think it was faust, but it just isnt showing the int gain. 0 to 10 skill in SS now takes about twice as long but that is still only a couple mins. Once you started see-sawing you would see 2-3 points of INT per 0-10, 10-0 loop. Those gains seem long gone.

Dont know if it was an accuracy fix or something that got over looked on the skill delay changes... As far as accuracy goes, it was always str that was the hard thing to gain... Int should be handed out like black dye tubs on easter!

as i said above, i have tried the other methods and tips for chars at 700 skill (like setting a zero skill down and SS up at zero... you still gain int but it is very slow.)

Stat gain does seem weird here.
No one hardly ever see-saws because it doesn't gain stats like it did on OSI, and you gain stats better than on OSI by just using the skill to GM.

I tried the herding and SS for my stats, with very poor results, especially with the 10 sec delay timer. I suggest camping for all stats due to zero delay, however you kinda have to watch it. It works well though.

Im glad others are seeing it... It is very apparent to me that something has changed or is off. Every single char that i raised int on previously was with a 10 pt ID and SS see-saw which would take no longer than an hour or 2 to gain 75 int.

The real question is what is era accurate? From my memories i believe INT should be the easiest to gain followed by dex and then str. It seem 180 degrees from that right now.

If anyone has a method to raise int quickly currently on UOSA please post it.

Ill see what i can find as far as documentation for what was era accurate with stats.

I think most vets arnt seeing this bc unless they have made new chars recently they are assuming int is still super easy...just like i did

Are you starting your characters with 10/10/60?

Well... don't?

Only making it harder for yourself. Now you have to gain 88 points of int instead of 40.

I understand the point of this thread is to see if this may be a bug or something, but until that is fixed, I highly recommend starting at 10/10/60.

Of course, i actually am at 15/15 chars right now. Working the last 3, all which are seeing the int problems, all which have gm'd most skills besides magery/med/ei bc raising INT has always been the last step in creating a toon for me for some 11-12 years now... :D
