Let me add my cents here =)

1. Can "PRO"-players of this shard (i mean most famous and popular ;-) ) make well commented video(s) with fun and creative play? like house-runs, fun PvP, dungeon running, solo adventurting and crafting? what will show power and balance of pure T2A
post it everywhere like google, youtube, metacafe and made HQ downloadable versions
And little "beginner guide" video too!

2. I can help to translate anything english-languaged to russian (guides, videos and so on)

3. I find this shard not from tops (i even don't use any of this tops, only voting), i find it from forum post then try to find nice "sandbox" mmorpg and everybody say EVE Online or go back to 1998 and play UO, and finally somebody said about UOSA.
So i think we mustn't forget about game forums and post there pretty active.

4. It's hard, but can we somehow find dieing shards and try to get parts of their player bases

5. Please DON'T CHANGE Era-accuracy it's hard to say something cool, then you will be "yet another plain sphere-like shard with custom files and vampires" =)

Thanks. =)

An idea ive been trying to implement for gaining more players is placing some messages about UOSA on youtube videos with multiple millions of views under "free mmorpg". A big reason players are lacking is because its hard to even come across this game without looking back at the history of mmo's. I mean this game is well beyond the depth of i think any game out there as of now, grafics are second to gameplay for me and im shure that is the case for most real gamers. So that is what im set on because the amount of horrible free mmo's there are. Just need to inform the public. youtube is just a pain about putting websites on the comments so put a space in .c om or somthing if you attempt to advertise our site this way. thanks guys, this is such a great shard =)

I absolutely hate people that do that and the first thing that crosses my mind when I see something like that is it is a scam.

Please don't do that.

Keep in mind that UO isnt about consented pvp, and knowing how to do everything on your own... that this game is for the most hardcore type of gamer that in any situatuation being out of safety means loss of more than just time being ressed by some npcs thru autoport and automatically replaced at a nearby location magically. This games aspects that "turn away" the modern gamer is the reason why we like it. The idea of a free system when you don't have to be level x to y, but instead train till you cant anymore then hope that you don't get drylooted out of guard areas. This game is brutal, don't eveer change that...

I totally agree hemp....If this server had a better population it would be awesome. I wish more people would hang out in delucia. This server for the most part has a way better maturity level than the other ones such as uogamers and players respect eachother even if they dislike eachother on the field! We also have a great staff thanks to Derrick and company. We need to get the word out more.

I think one of the other main problems (atlease from my experience) is that a lot of people I used to know that I played old school uo with I have lost contact with. The people I know now that actually play uo have no idea how it was back in the day and have no interest to learn a different style.

one way to increase population is... you guessed it...

One evening when the server lost power and was down, I went free shard hopping, I noticed that some of them had stones at the banks that you clicked on to vote. The stones opened up a page to vote on, I wonder would this entice more people to vote while doing some bank business?

Flower this is an EXCELLENT idea! I remember when I played on UOGamers they had the same thing. I think that would help a lot. A lot of people have no idea where to go to vote or may not even know about voting at all. I can imagine it would not be very hard to implement as well.

I'm very hesitant to put shard promotional mechanics in the game itself.

I just had a funny thought of putting a pepsi-cola banner accross the front of the brit bank :)

I always disliked seeing vote stones on servers. It kindof ruins the immersion in my opinion. We strive for era accuracy, But oddly colored tombstones at the bank stick out like a sore thumb because those weren't around in '98. And then it opens the gates for other things to be added, newbie item chests, trash chests, donation stones, etc. etc. which ends up with us having an ugly clutters bank area which most people are going to ignore anyway.

People are lazy, if they're going to make an effort to vote then they'll make the effort. Making it a little simpler my inflate votes for a short period of time but eventually people are going to fall out of the habit again, because they were never in the habit to begin with. A [vote type command is less intrusive but I'm not entirely in love with the idea either.
