Im all for it. Hey, we could make haven and trammel again too! Yes, Faust. I am being sarcastic... Also, I don't see anyting wrong with reds being able to log inside their own houses. I don't have any reds, but if I did, I would not want to wait Five minutes each time I log out to switch characters. It makes no practical sense. This is silly.
But it's accurate 8) And it hinders having two PK ghosting waiting off their kill counts with One PK hunting.

Remember this only concerns insta logging not hide or detect hidden within your house.

I am still convinced that this patch note refers to the fact that players used to be able to log out instantly despite attack timers/crim flags, and not to the fact that someone couldnt log out had he not committed an offensive action or been attacked shortly beforehand.

This answers the red issue i believe.

Ultima Online: The Second Age Patch Notes for 08/26/1999
Red players cannot insta-log from houses.

http://wiki.uosecondage.com/index.php?t ... atch_Notes

Mini-Update Sep 1 1999 7:36PM CST
Characters that are flagged as criminals or aggressors will no longer be able to instantly log out of the game while in their house or in an inn.
Murderers (reds) who are not flagged as criminals or aggressors will be able to instantly log out of the game while in their house or in an inn.

Looks like OSI rethought the idea over about 5 days... what? no OSI foresight? wierd...

People here needs to learn to back check our cut off date for any possible updates to an older patch note before posting.

You know faust... if you cant say something nice..

I think its great that guys archaic and other use their own time to try and look things up... the only reason i found is i was researching patch notes for another (accuracy quest) and stumbled across this, and i knew there was a post on the board about it already.

I always back check even past our cut off date when doing research here...

It's a common sense approach that everyone should partake in while researching before making a post. I have seen this happen several times in the past here that simply wasted Derrick's precious time coding something and having to take it right back out the next day when someone researches it further...

People simply just needs to back check ALL patches before posting something like this...
