starting char bard is by far the fastest way to line your pockets.
if you want to wait a week or two before money a tamer is better.

When you play with fire, there is a 50/50 chance something will go wrong, and nine times out of ten it does.

Bard is good money...but I swear on my life I got enough money scamming chests and boxes in towns with my lockpicker to get a small house in only two days after getting his lockpicking up to 93 and training him from 0 on remove traps.

This may be better off as a second character though as you need a bunch of picks to train. (I saved my newbie picks to do the boxes around town and havent broken one since.)

Good thing is once you start you dont need to spend another gold piece on anything just use your trusty newb picks and moongates. It will also act as a resource gatherer for items you may need on other characters later.

I decided on utilizing remove traps as you can stealth in dungeons pick the chest and remove the trap totally hidden without a hitch if successful. The only time you would be visible is recalling out.

His temp will be when complete

100 Lockpicking
100 Detect Hidden
100 Remove traps
100 Hide
90 stealth
100 magery "primarily for transport and casting gates to enter in hidden"
60 steal "primarily to pick up items in chests inaccessible any other way"
50 meditation

Bard Mage: Music, Provocation, Magery, Med, Wrestling, Resist, Hiding (or Eval)

"Ultimate PVM" (no defense!) Music, Provocation, Magery, Med, Tame, Lore, Vet

Both will yield you incredible amounts of gold but the second one requires more skill to use and more effort to make. The first one is a solid build anyone can pick up and win with.

I played basically every template on here.

For a straight provo bard, I like having eval. Hiding is okay I guess, but if you're an aggressive player and comfortable with engaging people I'd go eval. Provo'ing stuff onto PK's and tossing ebolts is brutal as shit, and I killed countless aggressors with this template. As far as gold, you'll make a substantial amount, but not as much as the ones below. Although the return isn't as great, this is by far the easiest (and cheapest) template to build and is the most common first-step/stepping-stone for most.

Example: http://my.uosecondage.com/player.aspx?id=15807

Provo/tamer is easily the best template for gold. You have SHITTY defense, but you have the ability to make bank ridiculously fast and an army of dragons to back you. I always kept a few pots + some invis/reflect gear on me for added safety, which is of little consideration compared to how much you'll make in the mean time. Most PKs are smart enough to avoid engaging a crazy-ass with a shitload of dragons...and if they aren't (and solo/unorganized), that's all the more riches for you.

Example: http://my.uosecondage.com/player.aspx?id=11508

A solid provo/t-hunter is the best for non-confrontational earnings. Unless things have changed drastically, you'll more-or-less NEVER run into people, and make solid earnings. While you won't make as much as a provo/tamer, you'll make loads with less worry and micro management. More gold than a standard bard, and considerably less hassle than the other 2 templates.

Example: http://my.uosecondage.com/player.aspx?id=6468

Regardless, the best advice to any PVMer is to carry the necessary equipment. ALWAYS carry heal/cure pots -- refresh/stat boost if you can. You don't need a lot. 2-3/ea heal/cure, and maybe 1-2 of refresh/str. If you can swing it, invis/reflect will increase your longevity DRASTICALLY -- toss in a tele item, and you can invis-tele to safety for the quick recall. With those items, unless you're completely retarded, you will NEVER FKN EVER be PK'd.

Melee skills are entirely useless. Provo + magery is an unbeatable combination -- it's just up to you as far as what direction to take the rest of the skills.

Bards are OK, thats how i started making money here, but to me, Barding is painfully boring.

MY favorite way to farm is with a med-dexxer in a liche room with a high end silver. Certain spots can get 25-30k farmed from them in less than an hour if you do it right. And since your character is basically a pvper who can hold his own, you really dont have to worry about reds, unless they gate in in a group.

taming
animal lore
musicianship
provoke
resist
magery
lockpicking

as an end time goal temp, you might want to juggle alot of skills on the way up though
but this one is a gold mine, maybe drop resist to 70 and Animal lore to 80 for 50 meditation or take 5 points here and there and distribute where you will.

I'd work on taming with some combat skills and a dash of magery for starters until taming is up, then work on provo and music. The whole time whenever you have extra loot train up magery and resist. Then finish up lockpicking at the end. Inbetween I would focus on combat skills, healing etc.
