Runebooks blessed?

I thought runebooks werent blessed! This guy is standing here with a rune book. When I try to steal it it says I cant't steal that.

They're not blessed, they just cannot be targeted with stealing. Runebooks still drop to your corpse when you die and can be stolen doing a random steal on a bag.

So say if he has some BS newbied bandaids in his bag I can't steal then damn thing? I been sitting here trying to randowm steal it for awhile but still keep getting the You cant steal that message.

Effectively blessed against thieves. I hate it. I have accidently(read random steal) stolen only one runebook since this was put in. As far as i can tell it was because he had the runebook in a seperate pouch with some regs and i got the whole pouch. Apparantly Matron deWinter put up the good fight but alas here we are. boo
