Maybe as a suggestion you could put what you tamed in your guide? I know there several posts on what to train, but maybe it could another thing you add on here.

Just a suggestion.

Great post you have here by the way! I've enjoyed seeing your progress.

Quick question. Where did you find several hundred bulls to tame?

The bulls outside Delucia. About 10 or so spawn at a time.

Also it really helps if there are other tamers around taming stuff too. You can work together to speed up the process by pre-taming creatures for the other tamers and them doing the same for you. Luthiel and Mendelssohn worked with me and we helped each other out this way with the bulls.

Each time a creature is tamed by a different tamer, it's minimum taming difficulty goes up by 6 points, so you can get better gains if you work with this method correctly.

Thanks for the info. True about the re-tames. I was the one retaming your snow leopards and white wolves the night you were taming on Ice Island.

Thanks by the way. I got some nice skill gains that night :). To be where you are in less than a week? I must say, I'm jealous. Nice work.

Seems like you spent a lot of cash on magery/resist... I seem to remember perhaps 50 - 60k altogether for my mage. Over 100k on magery/resist is waaaaaay too much. I think you could save a lot of money starting with resist. If you're looking to recall around just buy your way to 30 then fireball until you hit 52 or so base.

Take care,
Floyd

I agree, but money/saving money wasn't one of my objectives. I was trying to GM taming as quickly as possible. Starting with magery to get around to tame was quicker for me.

Storm's guide is not accurate by the time. What he neglects to tell you is that it took him several hours with the help of friends to pre-tame these bulls. He didn't include the time it took to setup for the taming macro. All "hundreds" of those bulls we're already set up in the delucia healers before he started. Also you have to keep in mine he already has a gm tamer, so he can tame himself pretames. I know this because I used all his tames to get my tamer to 96. All this talk about getting gains from dragons & mares is false.

No disrespect, just truth.

Actually he did mention that Luthiel and I helped him, and we were working our taming too. He really tamed a relatively small amount with Necromancer. The moral: tame with friends and it goes faster.

And you do get excellent gains from Nightmares and White Wyrms, comparatively. "Excellent" means something different when you're in the high 90's for taming.

Moreover, Indra was already gm before you were taming them. You tamed Luthiels and Ruines retames, ;).

One question about taming dragons.... I tame them but than after 10 minutes they won't listen to me. Will it continue to be this way or will it stop after I get high enough taming?

Use animal lore on them, for best obedience they need to be "Wonderfully Happy." Feed meat or stable to increase happiness.

Happiness level will decrease at a slower rate at higher levels of taming.

Could I transfer dragons to a guy with 50 animal taming or would he need more?
