Im simple terms currently you can't cast spells fast enough after already casting one or recasting after a disrupt I feel if this was sped up it would increase the quality of pvp and Make the shard less about instant hit and more skill based as opposed to luck.

I'm not really that good with wording and explanation so I'll leave it at that til more is needed.

Feedback, opinions etc thank you
I like the delays because they are more accurate. faster casting doesnt really make pvp any better.

i vote no on this but nothing wrong with suggestions.

From personal experience you should be able to tell our recast time is well over 2.2 seconds

You're wrong, sorry.

I have developed "our" recast times based on the articles.

According to your post your timers are based off an article about UOR period of ultima...

The community invited us back, and we got a lot of donation gold, so we weren't just going to trash it. We like the server, its just not highly competitive. I'm fine if things stay they way they are, (white wyrm speed aside) but i'm always going to back up what I believe

Why do you play here if you're against the shards main principle to recreate the t2a experience?

What is your point?

There is no evidence to suggest that anything changed from the introduction of the recast delays in '98 up to UOR until the alteration made in the AOS publish.

Do you honestly think we're going to change the delays based on nothing?

Sorry, that isn't how it works son...

Does anybody have a link so we could see what casting times are for each spell? Are there, or should there be modifiers in casting time?

Did you happen to miss this portion that was clearly stated earlier in this thread?

Faust wrote:Again, this implementation like every other on this shard is based on accuracy.
What about this post in the Lich Lord Room thread?

Faust wrote:If you don't like era accuracy than leave. How many times does this have to be said to you before it registers? This shard isn't about pleasing you and your opinions. A real Pre:UOR shard just isn't for everyone since many simply can't handle it.

If you are having a problem fast casting, then the only advice I can give you is familiarize yourself with the recast delay. Hold your initial spell for a moment so you can fast cast the next spell. Otherwise, you will be paralyzed by the recast delay.

It is slower on this shard because we use the "real" recast delays that was used on OSI. The RunUO default servers that you typically play on is and has been coded incorrectly from the start. It forcefully applies the recast delay after every spell cast(the phase after the animation pumps of the cast delay are finished). This isn't how the recast delay worked on OSI.. The article that I listed in this thread explains it in full detail...
