excellent crafted weapons

what's the plus of having excellent crafted weapons opposed to regular ones, sorry I wonder if they do more damage or if they have higher life or something

I believe they're on the same level as might, if not a little bit better..

i guess that's cool since i have a GM blacksmith but i guess i won't go around buying a bunch of might weapons

and going with the same reasoning i'll assume that that GM crafted armor is as good as guarding so that means defense is completely useless...
