What this all comes down to is the shard isn't set for a specific t2a date but rather the t2a era. It leaves too much open for discussion in which case a majority rules. There should be no discussion in the first place. It's unfair to go with the majority on one topic and then ignore the era accurate function which would make most people unhappy yet benefit a small few. It begs the question where do you draw the line?

This shard strives to emulate the 1999 era... The idea is not to implement any patch after dec. 1999. Although some squeak through, like bank checks....DemonArkanis wrote:What this all comes down to is the shard isn't set for a specific t2a date but rather the t2a era. But as far as thief's stealing gold... Can't they already do this? I thought stealing success chances were directly related to item weight? Therefore gold weighs x, you can only steal so much gold as to not exceed success(weight) limit = how much gold you get... Right?

It's my understanding that this poll was set up to demonstrate a point that I'm not enitrely clear on. As such I'm going to lock this thread; more direct suggestions would be appreciated.
We don't make game changes to intentionally benefit any playstyle on Second Age. Although the mechanical corrections that we do make are often in response to the biggest player debated issues, the intent is not to favor anything, and never will be. We want the mechanics of the game to be 100% true to era, and eventually we will get there. We also recognize that there are mechanics currently in game which are not true to area, the day will came when each of these issues is corrected, but we would not intentionally add more out of era mechanics.
(I hope some of that had to do with the intent of this thread and wasn't just rambling nonsense)
