how does this happen? PK's im talking to you...

This is not a complaint… So don’t take it as such. Just trying to figure out a way to guard myself against this..
I just curious how this would happen…

I have 100 magery and 97 resist..
I have “recall” hot keyed to my F key, I always have my finger on it while I’m on my bard..
Im standing in a room in deceit behind a closed door.. I see a red PK running down the hall to the door. I immediately hit my “recall” hot key.. he manages to interrupt my cast.. how I don’t know… I hit "recall" before he was even in the room. He now in the room has me targeted and dead before I could hit it a second time… now I m dead..
Anyone know how this is done? Is there a trick I’m not seeing?
All you Pk’s out there.. walk me through an attack on a newbie like myself I really need to learn how to do this… and how to counter it…

you may have accidently open the doors yourself causing inturuption, make sure razor isnt set to do anything on its own

They often have a debuff (weaken usually) precasted and they hit you when you cast recall.

Ah that makes since... I think I did see a weaken cast at me... will casting weaken prevent a recall? and I don't have any razor setting to open doors... I hate that setting... I always make sure it is off..

well weaken would explain how he Interrupted my recall...

So I'm assuming he: precasts weaken... runs to the door "razor has it set to auto open.. He hits his hotkey target closest innocent.. and hits me with a weaken... foiling my recall..

now how in the world did he kill me so fast... I do have 97 resist.. or does that not really matter?

Exp ebolt combo?? how does one pull that off... and any way to stop it?

Smack you with the Hally, at least 25hp
Cast Explode
Arm Explosion Potion
Cast EB
Smack you with the Hally again, at least another 25
Explosion hits, another 30 dmg
Target the EB, a good 20 damage
Throw the timed potion at you, at least 10 damage

Theres many variations.

A good Explode-Earthquake-Potion-Hally combo usually works.

if you see a red popping and you don't want to fight and you're in a different room

1:Use hiding . He will use reveal and when he cast it , recall away.
2:Use Wall of stone to block the door or paralyzis field. He will have to dispel it.So simply recall away.He can't cast on you because of LOS.
What i was doing in osi was casting bladespirit or Energy vortex and casting wall of stone to block the door entrance .. run 4-5 title away and watch him either die or recall or recall myself.

3:Always make sure you have magic reflection up.

Or attack him.

You should never have a lot of stuff on you if you're solo.If a Pk see 2-3 player most of the time they will recall away and continue their run elsewhere.Remember red are the underdog.SHow them.Run expect you to run away and recall.Use some strategy.

i havent started on my pvp'r yet, as im still having fun with mules but i remembered the exp-eb combo being very precise; cast exp, target, IMMEDIATELY cast eb then target and both should hit at the same time.. with razor i imagine its possible to also get a prpl potion in there, but where does that hally before the exp come in? im confused!

then i usually used a lightning or another eb to finish.. fs if i was feeling cheeky
