Ostard/Llama spawn not accurate
Ive mentioned this to ezp in irc before. The llama/forest ostard spawn in T2A is uber slow. You can run from delucia to papua and see none en route (besides the few who are trapped and cannot be tamed).
Can this be fixed? Should be easy.

Re: Ostard/Llama spawn not accurate
The spawns are from a pool of creatures. It's a pretty accurate spawn, but the problem lies in that people aren't harvesting anything but llamas and ostards down there. If you made some of the other spawns disapear you'd see a lot more of what you're looking for. This happens accross the world in outdoor areas; another good example is Dagger Isleson wrote:Ive mentioned this to ezp in irc before. The llama/forest ostard spawn in T2A is uber slow. Re: Ostard/Llama spawn not accurate
Understand this. But something still feels amiss.
Ian spent 8h taming animals in t2a for gain. He was taming bulls/giant toads I assume.
In the process he found 0 llamas and ostards, but FOUR nightmares. It just feels wrong.
I can certainly try and kill a few birds. But back at baja I could simply recall to a certain spot and always find a llama.

I'm not sure what to say about the claim of finding four nightmares. No spawn times have changed on nightmares and the only thing I've every heard regarding them is that they don't seem to be anywhere.
I've never seen a situation when there were ever more nightmares than llamas or ostards. It is not presently the case.

Re: Ostard/Llama spawn not accurate
I only mention nightmares because of the high improbability of finding a mare before a ostard/llama, and it occurring four times in an 8h span.
I realize now they are on different spawn pools.

Re: Ostard/Llama spawn not accurate
I think you just had bad luck son, i just did the del-pap run and found over a dozen stards (4 reds!) and 4 or 5 llama's
Re: Ostard/Llama spawn not accurate
kill the one hit critters like goats, birds, etc. It helps to spawn everything faster
Also, if you don't mind riding desert ostards they are extremely plentiful in the t2a desert.

Re: Ostard/Llama spawn not accurate
After this discussion Derrick made some changes, and indeed we found many llamas/ostards.
Killing small birds does the trick too.
