I'm curious if underbidding is ever honored on this forum... but, no thanks, my SB is already 21% below silver market value. It's more than fair, and I'm happy with just keeping the rug rather than taking a 1 mill hit on it.

I think it really depends on the context. I think Swallow's approach was pretty acceptable. People who just blatantly bid lower than the SB without even acknowledging they're doing so are the real culprits here imo.

Agreed. If I receive the housing as payment, I'm not planning on flipping it in the short term, if at all. The real estate market and high dollar economy are both trash right now. I'm just following the rules I set in the auction, giving the 24 hrs to allow any other bids before closing

... No thank you as in a response to you asking please what exact house it is in a weird way. It's pretty clear English. A private offer was made. I set my valuation of that offer based in gold, then advertised the amount I'd accept to outbid it. You aren't even active in this auction, so thanks for the bumps, but why would any of us involved in this give you details?
