Detect Hidden / Remove Traps

It appears that in T2A if one wanted to use the remove trap skill, they need to maintain detect hidden at 50 skill points. So, you can't let detect hidden go back below 50. I wish I had realized/remembered this before I let detect hidden drop back below 50 while building my main skills (building a pure treasure hunter).

Is it customary to divide even 100 points between DH/RT? Do I need RT to be at a certain point to remove traps on level 5 treasure chests? Is 50 enough to remove any trap eventually (after several tries, if necessary)?

If u have magery in ur T-Hunter, Telekenisis > Remove Trap. Just stand back far

After I submitted my post I came to the same realization. DH/RT is pretty pointless, albeit cheaper in the long run. Magery is certainly more valuable a skill.

Remove trap is the hardest skill in UO to gain. Stay away unless you have a long ass time to spare.

I found remove trap to be a challenge, but not the slowest skill to GM. Just have to lvl up a tinker keeping him 5 points in front at all times, and trap a load of chests.

My pure tmapper has Magery, Remove trap, Detect hidden, Cartography, Hiding, Lockpicking and Mining. It allows me to hide as monsters spawn, remove the trap and pick the lock. Also char can mine, pick dungeon chests, remove trap and loot all hiding.

Recently Remove trap also got a boost, at gm can remove lvl 4 chests traps first time, looking forward to lvl 5's.
