I have a Dark Steed bonded on Atlantic... Ive had that sweet little baby since 2000 and I dont care how much anyone offered she's not going anywhere. UO Gold is cheap as can be now, I mean when you can buy a Billion for $300 its ridiculous. You sell her and you'll never have her back. I just cant see selling something you cant get back.

Sorry, didn't realize this was a free shard... My apologies for the confusion. However the argument still stands, no way i would ever get rid of an extinct animal.

If you had an animal that was so rare that you wouldn't dare take it out anywhere, wouldn't you sell it?

Something you would have to use a full character slot in an inn to keep logged out with it....never to use a stable, in fear that the server will mysteriously, "delete it", and upon reporting it, find out that nothing can possibly be done. I can't count how many times i've lost 20 dragons stabled within 3 days of stabling them. Only to be told by staff that I must be wrong about the last time i stabled them.

A rare is awesome. You can put it in your bank, lock it in your house, and never touch it again. A in game pet is upkeep and worse than owninga house..

You are comparing Dragons to the Dark Steed. Dragons can be replaced - That Dark Steed cant. I stabled mine and took a break from UO for 3 years but it was still there when I got back on. You might be right that it could be lost at some point, but cmon man thats an EXTINCT animal. It's not very powerful, but only so many exist. Dragons can be replaced and yes they are a head ache but were not talking about dragons.

In any case it's just my opinion, I personally would never get rid of mine. I can understand your wanting to get something for it. In my case I've had that Dark Steed since the year 2000 thats 13 years. You received 2 castle deeds and a rare for it, at least the guy that bought it understands what Im talking about. Im not trying to offend you I'm just stating my opinion regarding my dark steed. As I siad before I didnt realize this board was for a free shard for that i apologize. Since I dont play this shard maybe my opinion isn't welcome and I can understand that but my feelings about the matter are general to the game period.

It was there when you got back because you didn't have to restable it every 7 days like here. Completely different.
