House Lockdowns

Say I have a bag full of magic items on my character. I take that bag and put it on my house floor and say, I Wish To Lock This Down. Click the bag and it says its locked down, but all of the contents inside the bag can still be removed without even having to say I Wish To Release This.

Am I supposed to have to lock down every individual item inside of a bag? I thought it would lockdown the bag and all individual items within that container at once.

If you make the container "secure" the contents are safe. It takes a co-owner (maybe friend too) to open it.

You can also lock down boxes that have keys and the contents are somewhat safe. The lock can be picked, but a casual visitor can't get away with your supplies.

I use secures for high value and lockables for odds and ends.

You cannot lock down items withing containers, that is a "feature" that came with the Nov '99 housing patch, generally despised. The secure container is where you want to put your most prized possessions.

Actually, if you aren't the owner, co-owner, or a friend, I believe if you try to pick a locked down, locked container, you get a message like "This is not accessible"

If that's currently the case it's inaccurate and needs to be fixed. I wan't aware, but I see how this might be the case. I'll try to give some warning on this if a fix is coming anytime soon.
